"Hold on Rinty" the winter blitz of 2005/06 has had us all in a hold of going within and also fighting and quareling with family and others to make our feelings known. Basically, it is YOUR TRUTH..THEIR TRUTH,,OR THEE TRUTH! The next step is to change your life's patterns, and trust your belief system and intuition about change while we are still in a body!
The next couple of months is to uncreate what you have created. After all, haven't we created and buried within us.. all the things that now bother us? Living in these times direct us to feel kindness about anothers anger, love for our so called enemies and the openess to switch our vibrations (through our thoughts) on a higher level.
MY belief is that the finish of 2006 is going to establish who we are as well as what we will do or become. Cleansing our old creations and forgiving ourselves will help us to release, let go and surrender the garbage that no longer exists. The residue will leave by going foward with our decisons of WHAT'S NEXT!
The time this year is to move on to discover that with our new feelings of finishing up and and endings we shall live in a place of the power of love and change the hypocracy of earthlings. After all..isn't creating fun??

Be Peace!
A Channeled Message Received by Hope…(her spiritual name meaning Help Open Planetary Names) a/k/a Rev. From time to time we feature the spiritual messages that come forth to her here. “Be Peace Pilgrims”Peace Pilgrims you all must be. You must all bite the bullet that flies from the guns that want to kill your brothers and sisters around the world. The war must end NOW. Please hear these words from the Black Madonna’s heart. For she weeps at the sight of this violence that is taking place in our world. She asks all peace pilgrims to push beyond their comfort zone to speak out about PEACE. If you remain silent and let this massacre go on you are as much to blame as the ones who shoot the bullets. More war will follow if you, the public, the light workers, the mothers and the fathers do not stand up and say, “STOP!” Why are you waiting for a particular time and place to let your light shine? The earth needs you to shine now. Listen to the Mothers speak! It is I, the Black Madonna and Mother Earth, who have waited patiently for her children to catch up and speak about their inner wisdom of knowing that there is another way to create justice for all. The intensity of the vibration of explosives is being prepared behind your backs by your government to wipe away more and more people. With all of the talk about the problem of nuclear weapons there has only been one country that has ever used it. And this is your country, not any others.I wish for all of you to listen to John Lennon's song “Imagine” and allow the words to move you into another reality besides war and violence. The tears that you are seeing upon my statues are not a joke or a jinx. They are as real as the tears that are being shed by the mothers and fathers who have lost their children in this unnecessary war. They are as real as the tears shed by the Iranians who have lost their children as well.Why has your nation forgotten to help the down trodden people of the world through the act of sharing its wealth? Instead of spending money for bombs, spend the money to build a new world of love and peace. Have you forgotten the words of the Creator “Thou shall not kill?” How do you proclaim to be a God-obedient country and then turn around and shoot your brothers and sisters? You do not need to be trapped in the flames of anger or pride or power. Come to the cool pond of my heart and I will put out this flame and create a new flame — the flame of compassion, forgiveness and peace and harmony and love. I hope this message leads you to a deep aspiration to pray for peace every single day. Pray that all the beings of the earth can live on Mother Earth as good citizens of the world. There is only one path that leads to peace and that is the path of love. Love, my children, Love! I speak these words through Janice/Hope to help you understand that I am waiting for each one of you to take a personal stand NOW. The scale of Lady Justice is tipping in the wrong direction and you can tip it in the other way by truly being the children of God. This energy of war has now reached the inner cities and you are losing your own children to violence for they are learning this from their elders. They are watching the adults of this country model the behavior of violence. You can call it anything you want to justify this war but what it really is when you come out of your state of denial is VIOLENCE. And VIOLENCE, even if you call it defending your home ground, is an act of a fool. For fighting will only lead to more fighting. Killing will only lead to more killing. Hate will only lead to more hate. For it is escalating and it will continue to escalate into other countries soon if you do not put a stop to this insanity. People who are able to exercise self-control make the best peace makers because they can get their point across by being peaceful. Your actions must be of peace. The cycle of anger must stop.Purify your thoughts now and join me, the Mother of the World, in the arms of love. Love can be and will be manifested in the external world if more and more of my children pray in the manner of Peace. Come, come to the well of the Divine Feminine and share moments of stillness and examine your thoughts, which move into actions. Mindfulness will help you become the person you want to be. To all those who are willing to sit still and allow me, your Mother, to enter into your consciousness, I will come. I will speak to you in a slow, soft tone reminding you that your true substance is LOVE. I will help bring you out of your cold stone hearts and melt them with the bright golden light of Global Consciousness. Those who are present to me in the months to come will be recipients of the seeds of peace, wisdom, love and compassion. You will then be able to carry these seeds forward and plant them in others who will become your fertile soil.Children, please hear these words and let them not bounce out of you but into you — into the deepest part of your beingness. For I AM the Mother/Father God of the Universe — I speak words that can bring to your world more joy and bliss then you could ever imagine.I would like to leave you with one more word. This word is COMMUNITY. This is COMMUNICATION that will bring UNITY. Community will be the most important passion you will have in the years ahead. As a group of people coming together in REAL, INTEGRATED SPIRITUAL COMMUNITY you will help each other find liberation from painful situations. Practicing the art of meditation and prayer time together will create a vibrational momentum that can restructure the molecular atoms of your body. Within a moment you can change suffering into peace, pain into happiness, hate into love depending on how you want to define the moments of your life. You need to create environments where people can succeed in their personal transformation into the LIGHT! Planting a peace pole in Palestine later this month is something Rev. Janice Gorman and 24 other pilgrims from the Mankato area feel called to do. The recent election of the Hamas party there, deemed a terrorist organization by the U.S. government, will not change their plans. By way of explanation, Gorman says, “We’re not going as politicians, or as tourists. We’re going for peace.” Gorman, along with Penny Tower and Joni O’Connell of the Hope Interfaith Center in Mankato, are planning the trip. “When we plant the peace pole,” Gorman says, “we will remind ourselves and all who visit the pole in the future, that peace is the way, not war.” Last May, 24 people made a similar pilgrimage to Israel to plant a peace pole. While on a bus traveling to Palestine, Gorman says she felt called to continue the peace mission they were starting by returning to the Middle East this year. The peace pole, an 8-foot-tall length of cedar, will be similar to the one planted in Israel. It will have the words “May Peace Prevail on Earth” inscribed on it in eight languages. It will be located at an orphanage.While it may be difficult for some to see any impact of such an effort, all three women deeply believe they will make a difference. Calling it a “ripple effect,” Tower says the results of the trip and the efforts of all making the journey will be profound. She says she underwent a transformation from her trip last year to Israel, and is sure that has changed the lives of those around her. “The little we do does make a difference,” O’Connell says. She cites their trip to the Church of Bethlehem as an example of the ripple effect. She tells how the group began to sing “Silent Night” in English, waiting for their turn to tour the church. A group behind them recognized the tune and began to sing the song in German. As the next group entered the church, they began to sing the song in Japanese. Calling music the “universal language,” Tower says the experience was evidence of the power of peace and proof the ripple effect works. The written objective of the Hope Interfaith Center is “To provide a space to build community through spiritual education, meditation, praise and service.” Gorman says, “We’re more than a bumper sticker. We’re putting peace into action.” She encourages people to be citizens of the world, not merely citizens of their country. Hope Interfaith Center began in Gorman’s home 11 years ago, where she taught classes and worked with people one on one. A year ago, she moved into her location on North Second Street. ‘Discernment, Sovereignty and the Principle of Love’‘
Ariel here…This is a time-less message and is a message for all times, not just this moment. Since you are experiencing the awakening from the sleep of the egoic self, the process of this wakeup call may sometimes be felt as an unwelcome intrusion, a disturber of the peace. However, the arising of unified awareness within the chaos of your world is the cause of the chaos, and also is the safe harbor for those seeking to reconnect to the Oneness within. This process is inexorable, yet there are those of you who perceive how delicate the balance point is on the razor’s edge. This edge is the fine line between your control, and the call to surrender all of you to your Self/Spirit.The Spirit of Truth is just one thing…knowing. It is the quickening you feel within your heart when you take leave of your sensibleness and leave your comfortable past and abandon your imagined futures. You feel it when you ‘fall in love’ with Love Itself. You sense it when the winds of Spirit catch you up and you forget all else, including yourself. You all desire to be ‘in love’ all the time, yet few maintain the moment on the mountaintop. Then your heart shatters, and you lose faith and wonder if it was all an illusion. Well, the baring of illusions is just the beginning, and the Spirit of Truth is now descending upon the Earth to shatter the walls and shake the foundations. Ascension is not an escape from some thing; it is the embracing of everything. So welcome the Truth into your heart, and ask for all your webs and weavings to be swept away so that you may taste true freedom. You shall know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.Those who have ears, may they hear.I Am Ariel…Of the Source, and in service to the Source.’The Spirit of Truth:‘You are the Sons of God, the Daughters of the Goddess. You are the Lights of the World. There is no time like the present to acknowledge the truth of your Self, and that truth extends beyond all time and space. You are gods, and yet not the One Itself, the One in Many. The shedding of disguises and of skins continues to be your playground, although you are now being called upon to elevate your play to a new intensity. You are to accept your responsibility as the lineage of Light that you are. Letting go of the foundations previously counted upon will be the undoing of you, and will cause the passing away of much that you have known. So be it.As the influence of the Truth arises from within, much that is deemed as important in the realm of subject/object, the duality of form, must and will be reconciled and transcended. All is impermanent, and all that is in form must devolve and dissolve. Even though Spirit is the animator of all form, the form itself is transitory.Now, forms are not only that which you call ‘matter’, but include perceptions, concepts and beliefs. Therefore, the entire relationship of everything to everything, the interdependence that permeates all of that is perceived as ‘out there’ has its foundation in the mind of all souls. You are an image factory, constantly projecting these images onto the screen of consciousness. This is the function of relating, and there is nothing wrong about it. However, the habitual error is to continue to believe in the source of the image as having arisen from outside of you, and then to assign it some order of importance or identity so that you become attached to the image. If you could but view the image as self-created mechanism for Self Revelation, then the image is relinquished for the Truth to emerge from within you, and you then step closer to Reality.Discernment is the necessary faculty to determine the nature of any image, and the time is now upon you to recognize that the ‘soul authority’ of your Nature and your Truth is your own divine sovereignty. As dualistic forms, the teacher/student, guru/chelas, priest/supplicant were useful and necessary when the consciousness was mired in complete identification with separation and polarized concepts. Now they are no longer useful, except to indicate to you where you have given away your power. There is no longer any spiritual apprenticeship required of any soul, and in Reality, there never has been. In the times to unfold there will be no leaders and no followers…you all will be ‘It.’All are in the process of discovering that the seeds of self-betrayal are buried deep within the fear of the power that is your Essence. How can any form seduce you, use you and betray you without your permission and cooperation? That is impossible. Whether it is an idea, another person, or a social or political structure, you are still only answerable to you. Taking back your responsibility for yourself and everything you experience is the path to realization of the Self, a Self that is fully empowered and free.No form outside of you, whether teacher, mentor, leader, coach, channeler, priest, workshop leader, healer, politician, or parent, can continue to occupy the place of authority in your experience. That is why the foundations of many teachers and authorities, secular and spiritual, are now crumbling. Spirit calls upon all to do the work of the self, in order that the Way may be lived, not just talked about or pointed to. If anyone is in a position of leadership or authority of any kind and attempts to hold onto and consolidate their position, then much will appear to be lost. The wisdom of each Soul will design what the form of loss will be in order to gently caress the individual back onto their path of illumination and homecoming. Therefore, the greater the attachment, the more painful will be the apparent loss experienced.Likewise, if your Spirit brings you to one that can facilitate your desire for wholeness, you will know them by their fruits. If they assist you by pointing to that which is within you, then you remain free. If they demand of you your time and stretch your resources, or some other form of acknowledgement as an authority, then you are in a spiritual codependent relationship. In such a relationship, both are disempowered by the game of oppressor and victim, knower and seeker, and eventually both serve each other in the learning of lessons before the parting of ways. Ask to be shown whom you shall work with, and then when that work is completed, that true mirror who is your brother or sister will bless you and release you.What will eventually replace the old order is a paradigm of mutual sharing, mutual teaching and mutual learning. Living examples of conscious, whole and completely human Beings are required to shift the consciousness of all your brothers and sisters. How can you teach when you’ve so much to learn? Aspire instead to drop the images you’ve worshipped and invite all into the dialog of love. The Master is inside of you, and the time for following this or that path must be surrendered if you desire to feel that Presence guiding your every thought, word and action in your life.As you allow yourself to trust more and more in the movement of Spirit, then you are slowly asked to give up your attachments to your stories, your experiences, your plans, and your fears. These will be replaced with a sense of security far beyond anything you may have known to this point, and bliss will be its companion. Allow for the process of your transfiguration to be organically orchestrated by the Divine Director within. Do not push too far ahead, nor hang back and cling to the past, so that you may shed your skins gracefully.Over the course of the next year or so, your primary challenge and opportunity will be to disengage from all of these cherished forms, for they are echoes of the past that you have outgrown, tools that no longer satisfy. Much of your fascination with this or that path or philosophy has been an exercise in revisiting the past incarnations involving significant spiritual meaning and experience. Being attracted to a specific religious or spiritual discipline, or even some golden age epoch such as Atlantis in order to integrate and complete a cycle of experience has been useful for your awakening. However, now is the time to bless it and let it all go. Further definition is not required. Further surrender into wholeness is what is being asked of you, and this is the principle of Love in the journey of awakening. To love something so completely is to let it go. So much more awaits you beyond what you release from your past, your present, and even your future.Another opportunity that will be coming up sooner than later will be the call to let go of families, relationships, or social groupings that have peopled your landscape. If you are to become fully human and fully divine, then your attachments to anyone will be challenged. Everyone is your brother, sister, father, mother, lover, friend, and yes, even your potential enemy! Or, so it appears. Anything that you tie yourself too, ties itself to you as well. The relationships need to be honored, respected, and it is good to feel gratitude about them. Now, let them go and grant them the freedom you desire for yourself! You can’t ‘lose’ them…ever!! How could you? Only in your identification with them can you feel loss or pain. As your life more and more flows from Spirit inside of you to the outside, then all Beings will flow into and through your life with more grace, joy and harmony. Appreciate all of them, and see the eyes of the One shining through their eyes. Love them totally, and then…let go. Love seeks only itself, and is never lost or abandoned. How could it be? It is all there Is.If you were expecting a State of the Planet address that was going to describe the situation in the world, or the progress of Ascension, then we are happy to disappoint you. This is the state of the Planet from the heart of Truth: It is time to examine all that you are in the light of any attachments and addictions you have accepted. What you find, lovingly and firmly remove it, and if you can’t do that, then ask Spirit to do it. The State of the Planet appears to be desperate, and is so due to the forms that many are addicted to, and the fear of the unknown. In order to move beyond that fear, we recommend that you release all attachment to what you fear to lose. Only then will you be an empty vessel into which the fullness of your Isness can manifest.Let not your perception become clouded by the words or beliefs that arise from the World. ‘Discernment, Sovereignty and the Principle of Love’‘

Since you are experiencing the awakening from the sleep of the egoic self, the process of this wakeup call may sometimes be felt as an unwelcome intrusion, a disturber of the peace. However, the arising of unified awareness within the chaos of your world is the cause of the chaos, and also is the safe harbor for those seeking to reconnect to the Oneness within. This process is inexorable, yet there are those of you who perceive how delicate the balance point is on the razor’s edge. This edge is the fine line between your control, and the call to surrender all of you to your Self/Spirit.The Spirit of Truth is just one thing…knowing. It is the quickening you feel within your heart when you take leave of your sensibleness and leave your comfortable past and abandon your imagined futures. You feel it when you ‘fall in love’ with Love Itself. You sense it when the winds of Spirit catch you up and you forget all else, including yourself. However, the habitual error is to continue to believe in the source of the image as having arisen from outside of you, and then to assign it some order of importance or identity so that you become attached to the image. If you could but view the image as self-created mechanism for Self Revelation, then the image is relinquished for the Truth to emerge from within you, and you then step closer to Reality.Discernment is the necessary faculty to determine the nature of any image, and the time is now upon you to recognize that the ‘soul authority’ of your Nature and your Truth is your own divine sovereignty. As dualistic forms, the teacher/student, guru/chelas, priest/supplicant were useful and necessary when the consciousness was mired in complete identification with separation and polarized concepts. Now they are no longer useful, except to indicate to you where you have given away your power. There is no longer any spiritual apprenticeship required of any soul, and in Reality, there never has been. In the times to unfold there will be no leaders and no followers…you all will be ‘It.’All are in the process of discovering that the seeds of self-betrayal are buried deep within the fear of the power that is your Essence. How can any form seduce you, use you and betray you without your permission and cooperation? That is impossible. Whether it is an idea, another person, or a social or political structure, you are still only answerable to you. Taking back your responsibility for yourself and everything you experience is the path to realization of the Self, a Self that is fully empowered and free.No form outside of you, whether teacher, mentor, leader, coach, channeler, priest, workshop leader, healer, politician, or parent, can continue to occupy the place of authority in your experience. That is why the foundations of many teachers and authorities, secular and spiritual, are now crumbling. Spirit calls upon all to do the work of the self, in order that the Way may be lived, not just talked about or pointed to. If anyone is in a position of leadership or authority of any kind and attempts to hold onto and consolidate their position, then much will appear to be lost. The wisdom of each Soul will design what the form of loss will be in order to gently caress the individual back onto their path of illumination and homecoming. Therefore, the greater the attachment, the more painful will be the apparent loss experienced.Likewise, if your Spirit brings you to one that can facilitate your desire for wholeness, you will know them by their fruits. If they assist you by pointing to that which is within you, then you remain free. If they demand of you your time and stretch your resources, or some other form of acknowledgement as an authority, then you are in a spiritual codependent relationship. In such a relationship, both are disempowered by the game of oppressor and victim, knower and seeker, and eventually both serve each other in the learning of lessons before the parting of ways. Ask to be shown whom you shall work with, and then when that work is completed, that true mirror who is your brother or sister will bless you and release you.What will eventually replace the old order is a paradigm of mutual sharing, mutual teaching and mutual learning. Living examples of conscious, whole and completely human Beings are required to shift the consciousness of all your brothers and sisters. How can you teach when you’ve so much to learn? Aspire instead to drop the images you’ve worshipped and invite all into the dialog of love. The Master is inside of you, and the time for following this or that path must be surrendered if you desire to feel that Presence guiding your every thought, word and action in your life.As you allow yourself to trust more and more in the movement of Spirit, then you are slowly asked to give up your attachments to your stories, your experiences, your plans, and your fears. These will be replaced with a sense of security far beyond anything you may have known to this point, and bliss will be its companion. Allow for the process of your transfiguration to be organically orchestrated by the Divine Director within. Do not push too far ahead, nor hang back and cling to the past, so that you may shed your skins gracefully.Over the course of the next year or so, your primary challenge and opportunity will be to disengage from all of these cherished forms, for they are echoes of the past that you have outgrown, tools that no longer satisfy. Much of your fascination with this or that path or philosophy has been an exercise in revisiting the past incarnations involving significant spiritual meaning and experience. Being attracted to a specific religious or spiritual discipline, or even some golden age epoch such as Atlantis in order to integrate and complete a cycle of experience has been useful for your awakening. However, now is the time to bless it and let it all go. Further definition is not required. Further surrender into wholeness is what is being asked of you, and this is the principle of Love in the journey of awakening. To love something so completely is to let it go. So much more awaits you beyond what you release from your past, your present, and even your future.Another opportunity that will be coming up sooner than later will be the call to let go of families, relationships, or social groupings that have peopled your landscape. If you are to become fully human and fully divine, then your attachments to anyone will be challenged. Everyone is your brother, sister, father, mother, lover, friend, and yes, even your potential enemy! Or, so it appears. Anything that you tie yourself too, ties itself to you as well. The relationships need to be honored, respected, and it is good to feel gratitude about them. Now, let them go and grant them the freedom you desire for yourself! You can’t ‘lose’ them…ever!! How could you? Only in your identification with them can you feel loss or pain. As your life more and more flows from Spirit inside of you to the outside, then all Beings will flow into and through your life with more grace, joy and harmony. Appreciate all of them, and see the eyes of the One shining through their eyes. Love them totally, and then…let go. Love seeks only itself, and is never lost or abandoned. How could it be? It is all there Is.If you were expecting a State of the Planet address that was going to describe the situation in the world, or the progress of Ascension, then we are happy to disappoint you. This is the state of the Planet from the heart of Truth: It is time to examine all that you are in the light of any attachments and addictions you have accepted. What you find, lovingly and firmly remove it, and if you can’t do that, then ask Spirit to do it. The State of the Planet appears to be desperate, and is so due to the forms that many are addicted to, and the fear of the unknown. In order to move beyond that fear, we recommend that you release all attachment to what you fear to lose. Only then will you be an empty vessel into which the fullness of your Isness can manifest.Let not your perception become clouded by the words or beliefs that arise from the World. WASHINGTON - The Earth is already shaking beneath melting ice as rising temperatures threaten to shrink polar glaciers and raise sea levels around the world.
By the end of this century, Arctic readings could rise to levels not seen in 130,000 years — when the oceans were several feet higher than now, according to new research appearing in Friday's issue of the journal Science.
Even now, giant glaciers lubricated by melting water have begun causing earthquakes in Greenland as they lurch toward the ocean, other scientists report in the same journal.
In principal findings:
• At the current warming rate, Earth's temperature by 2100 will probably be at least 4 degrees warmer than now, with the Arctic at least as warm as it was 130,000 years ago, reports a research group led by Jonathan T. Overpeck of the University of Arizona.
• Computer models indicate that warming could raise the average temperature in parts of Greenland above freezing for multiple months and could have a substantial impact on melting of the polar ice sheets, says a second paper by researchers led by Bette Otto-Bliesner of the National Center for Atmospheric Research. Melting could raise sea level one to three feet over the next 100 to 150 years, she said.
• And a team led by Goeran Ekstroem of Harvard University reported an increase in "glacial earthquakes," which occur when giant rivers of ice — some as big as Manhattan — move suddenly as meltwater eases their path. That sudden movement causes the ground to tremble.
Otto-Bliesner and Overpeck wrote separate papers and also worked together, studying ancient climate and whether modern computer climate models correctly reflect those earlier times. That allowed them to use the models to look at possible future conditions. The researchers studied ancient coral reefs, ice cores and other natural climate records.
"Although the focus of our work is polar, the implications are global," Otto-Bliesner said. "These ice sheets have melted before and sea levels rose. The warmth needed isn't that much above present conditions."
According to the studies, increases in greenhouse gases in the atmosphere over the next century could raise Arctic temperatures as much as 5 to 8 degrees.
The warming could raise global sea levels by up to three feet this century through a combination of thermal expansion of the water and melting of polar ice, Overpeck and Otto-Bliesner said.
Michael Oppenheimer of Princeton University, who was not part of the research teams, said, "One point stands out above all others and that is that a modest global warming may put Earth in the danger zone for a major sea level rise due to deglaciation of one or both ice sheets."
Ekstroem and colleagues reported that glacial earthquakes in Greenland occur most often in July and August and have more than doubled since 2002.
"People often think of glaciers as inert and slow-moving, but in fact they can also move rather quickly," Ekstroem said. "Some of Greenland's glaciers, as large as Manhattan and as tall as the Empire State Building, can move 10 meters in less than a minute, a jolt that is sufficient to generate moderate seismic waves."
Melting water from the surface gradually seeps down, accumulating at the base of a glacier where it can serve as a lubricant allowing the ice to suddenly move downhill, the researchers said.
"Our results suggest that these major outlet glaciers can respond to changes in climate conditions much more quickly than we had thought," said team member Meredith Nettles of Columbia University's Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory

And what if we don't?
Former Vice President Al Gore, in the middle of an emotional talk on climate change last Wednesday at the Beverly Hilton, was referring to a projection of The Blue Marble photo, captured by the three-man crew of the 17th Apollo mission as they sped toward the moon on December 7, 1972.
It is the most widely circulated photograph in history, he reminded the audience.
After 30 years, it's easy to forget how startling it was: The first fully sunlit photograph of Planet Earth, its landmasses familiar from a millennium of maps, its cloud swirls an early indication of what would one day seem commonplace in the age of regional radar. We had seen images of Earth before the Christmas Eve shot from Apollo 8 in 1968 but nothing before or since compared to this perfectly composed glimpse of our own planet emerging into sunlight, with its magisterial sweep of Antarctica's ice at its center, and the Saudi Arabian peninsula orbiting toward night.
Gore told the audience that the image has long hung in his office, but like many of us, he'd grown numb to it over time. So he asked NASA for a new one.
They told me there isn't really another one, he said. It's really the last picture we have of the earth like that, with the sun behind the spacecraft.
The last picture, he added plaintively, of the only home we have.
Gore's multimedia presentation, hosted by the Natural Resources Defense Council for an audience of media and entertainment people, happened on the same day that 141 nations, including Vladimir Putin's Russia and the entire European Union, ratified the Kyoto Protocol to reduce collective emissions of carbon dioxide and other gases known to be trapping the sun's heat on the earth's surface. It was a day, as journalist Amanda Griscom Little pointed out in both Grist and Salon, when environmentalists should have been marching on Washington. Taiwanese environmentalists stripped naked and stormed their Cabinet to protest their country's rejection of the treaty. But in the United States the event barely registered; in the crudités line before the speech, the chatter was not about Kyoto, glaciers or the next weird winter storm that would pound Los Angeles, but of parking problems, post-speech meetups at Trader Vic's and the varieties of the Extreme Makeover experience.
Still, it would have been impossible for even Michael Crichton to watch Gore speak for an hour and not walk away transformed. With graphs, time-lapse photography and red-faced passion unmitigated by political strategy, Gore built a case against greenhouse gases that made your pulse race and your hands tremble. He demonstrated how, in 400,000 years of geological time, the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has always correlated with the temperature of the planet; he unveiled historic shots of retreating glaciers; he told of flycatcher nestlings hatching out of sync with the caterpillars they're born to eat. He unveiled a graph illustrating global temperatures since the Middle Ages - an undulating pattern of heat and cooling until it reaches the end of this century, at which point the graph lurches out steeply, representing the 10 hottest years in history, all of which have happened in the last 15 years.
Those people, the naysayers, they say, this is a cyclical trend, Gore said, mocking the pedants. There was a warming period in the Middle Ages, they say.
Yeah, right. There was. It's right here, he said, and gestured toward a small bump right around the year 1400.
Then came the cascading litany of unfolding catastrophes: unprecedented deadly heat waves, record years of tornados and typhoons, hurricanes landing where they never have before. Polar bears on the brink of extinction, bark beetles devastating pine forests with no hard freeze to slow them down, mosquito-borne diseases marching north.
In 15 years, there'll be no more snows of Kilimanjaro, Gore warned. (The 11,000-year-old ice cap shrank by 80 percent in the last century; most researchers expect it to be gone by 2015.)
There'll be a park formerly known as Glacier National Park.
And eventually there will be no more New Orleans, no more Florida Keys, no World Trade Center memorial - all will disappear under rising seas. Is it only terrorists we're worried about? Gore wondered. We are witnessing the collision of civilization and the earth.
For all the bad news, though, Gore was funny - he was, in other words, what we've now come to know as himself. He gave a geeky, humane, jovially apoplectic speech, one that managed to raise alarm without turning shrill or scolding. It featured a Matt Groening cartoon on which Kristin Gore herself collaborated, and it was full of the kind of jokes - denial is not a river in Egypt - that wouldn't be worth laughing at were it not for the fact that the former vice president of the United States was delivering them. It was endearing.
This Gore has been with us so long that it's sometimes hard to remember the other one, the would-be president who intoned what came off like pre-set sound files on taxes, foreign policy and the death penalty, specially designed to separate him from the man who, as the indefatigable Laurie David said in her introduction to his speech, wrote the book on protecting that planet. (That was a joke, she added after a beat. Because he really did write the book.).
But as Gore segued into the question-and-answer period, picking up speed and fury, it became impossible to forget that, five years ago, when he had access to the most visible public forum in the world - a U.S. presidential election - he scarcely breathed a word about the death of the planet. And now, under the glaring chandeliers of the supercooled Beverly Hilton's Grand Ballroom, we were being told to conserve now or face certain destruction by a man who belongs to a party that consistently refuses to raise the environment as a political issue.
David read a question from the audience on just that point. Gore blamed the media. There is the A list of issues, the B list of issues and the C list of issues, and if a candidate goes out and gives a speech and the media doesn't pick it up, then you've wasted the day. But who compiles those lists? As far as anyone can tell, the Democratic Party has yet to submit the melting polar ice caps for consideration on any of them.
Will that finally change in 2008? Will we finally be so overwhelmed with evidence that we recognize that in our cars and homes we have become our own worst terrorists? Will the Blue Marble make a comeback? Al Gore thinks so. Al Gore - this Al Gore, the one who now insists we have to expand the boundaries of what is politically feasible - is said to be considering another bid for president. With luck, this time he'll pull the Blue Marble off his office wall, take it with him on the road and tack it up on the podium behind him everywhere he goes.
I really believe this: We will find a way, he reassured his audience at the end of his speech.
And what if we don't?

And eventually there will be no more New Orleans, no more Florida Keys, no World Trade Center memorial - all will disappear under rising seas. Is it only terrorists we're worried about? Gore wondered. We are witnessing the collision of civilization and the earth.
For all the bad news, though, Gore was funny - he was, in other words, what we've now come to know as himself. He gave a geeky, humane, jovially apoplectic speech, one that managed to raise alarm without turning shrill or scolding. It featured a Matt Groening cartoon on which Kristin Gore herself collaborated, and it was full of the kind of jokes - denial is not a river in Egypt - that wouldn't be worth laughing at were it not for the fact that the former vice president of the United States was delivering them. It was endearing.
This Gore has been with us so long that it's sometimes hard to remember the other one, the would-be president who intoned what came off like pre-set sound files on taxes, foreign policy and the death penalty, specially designed to separate him from the man who, as the indefatigable Laurie David said in her introduction to his speech, wrote the book on protecting that planet. (That was a joke, she added after a beat. Because he really did write the book.).
But as Gore segued into the question-and-answer period, picking up speed and fury, it became impossible to forget that, five years ago, when he had access to the most visible public forum in the world - a U.S. presidential election - he scarcely breathed a word about the death of the planet. And now, under the glaring chandeliers of the supercooled Beverly Hilton's Grand Ballroom, we were being told to conserve now or face certain destruction by a man who belongs to a party that consistently refuses to raise the environment as a political issue.
David read a question from the audience on just that point. Gore blamed the media. There is the A list of issues, the B list of issues and the C list of issues, and if a candidate goes out and gives a speech and the media doesn't pick it up, then you've wasted the day. But who compiles those lists? As far as anyone can tell, the Democratic Party has yet to submit the melting polar ice caps for consideration on any of them.
Will that finally change in 2008? Will we finally be so overwhelmed with evidence that we recognize that in our cars and homes we have become our own worst terrorists? Will the Blue Marble make a comeback? Al Gore thinks so. Al Gore - this Al Gore, the one who now insists we have to expand the boundaries of what is politically feasible - is said to be considering another bid for president. With luck, this time he'll pull the Blue Marble off his office wall, take it with him on the road and tack it up on the podium behind him everywhere he goes.
I really believe this: We will find a way, he reassured his audience at the end of his speech.
And what if we don't?

Wowzer
Man normally Mercury Retrograde brings about some minor technical
glitches and few delays in orders online or waiting for appointments but
nothing like this. All the lightworkers I talk to say this one is REALLY
packing a punch with their clients too so I guess I don't feel so bad. It's
a final scrubbing cleanser of all that needs to go (in thought forms and
old patterns of being) from this life and any other. Packed in between
a lunar and solar eclipse this one's a Wowzer indeed. My cleansing is
financial as usual- and body weight. or body mass! Back and knees still
posing trouble and I've lost 3 months of momentum at gym but must be
patient I guess (Grrrrr!) financial seems to be slowing to a dull roar and
it doesn't bother me at all I just laught at it frankly! Doesn't have the
sadness or teeth of rough spots in past. And frankly, life is full of good
times and bad and my bad isn't so bad at all. All part of the "Dance of Life"
and the old energy is becoming older and more distant with each day.

There has been so much going on this month regarding shifts and planetary alignments, it's difficult to keep up! Sometimes I feel that I need to write an energy alert every other day! Along with the energies and purposes that the eclipses and equinox are bringing us this month, we are also experiencing unusual and regular blasts of energy that can keep us reeling.
March 16 th brought in another of these monumental blasts of higher energy. Here is what is occurring with these intermittent surges: We are bumping up in vibration most intensely from now until the summer months. With each surge of energy the vibration of the planet, as well as ourselves, will be raised until the vibration culminates around July or so. June, July and August of last year were pivotal months, and these same months will be pivotal this year as well, but for another reason and in another way.
The equinox and the solar eclipse will bring in more pieces for our individual clarity and more pieces to support the new beginning of our new purposes. The lunar eclipse brought us into our shadows for clearing and more clarity. You may have experienced a day of self-loathing or been smack in the middle of the energies of the parts of yourself that you aren't so wild about. “Everyone must hate me,” you might have been feeling during this time. But when we are “down” we are also offered the opportunity to really decide what is working for us and what is not. What needs to be cleared away in our lives?
So now arrives this intense energy of Thursday the 16 th . Like a powerful laser beam, it hit the Earth and really moved the energy. For me, I always experience extreme bloating and indigestion as I am expanding and trying to integrate this energy. This was the most intense experience I have yet encountered. And then I lay awake all night. But these new surges that are occurring and will continue on will be intermittent and brief……they are similar to supports arriving to hold up a new platform……and they are arriving one by one.
For some, this latest surge may have left you reeling. The first day or so that a new energy arrives always feels great. With this latest surge, again like the energy of the 2 nd of March, a great clarity arrived which was a wonderful opportunity to see what will be in store for each of us. It also brings in a unity and a feeling that things are being resolved. Then immediately arrives the integration. This latest surge really pushed things around.
I don't know how a lot of you are feeling these days as I have been basically in seclusion for the past two months, so I can only describe my personal experiences here. I am currently perched upon an underground pyramid of new energy that is emerging in the White Mountains of Arizona. This area will become a golden city and a mecca for the new world, so the energies here are greatly magnified. But higher energy always magnifies things, no matter where you are. My cats are also behaving very strangely…….very clingy, confused, acting as if they are in pain, and at times very hyper.
If you are one of many who never felt they belonged here, or that nothing ever felt right or fit, you will really feel this now with the latest energy of the 16th. Energy shifts nearly always bring in the old familiar “no sense of place” feeling. We are being knocked out of our grooves with these shifts. We don't want to get too comfortable in old energy or old ways or we will never make change! You may now feel like you don't belong anywhere, can't get comfortable anywhere, and feel generally out of sync. My non-physical star being companion calls it “grossly out of sync with the outside reality.” Notice he said “grossly!” So now we are vibrating much higher than our outside world.
This mismatch can create an intolerance to being in a store, for instance, and an inability to become involved in most conversations as they will make no sense to you. “Why are people blindly handing over money for services, like slaves to some monetary power? Have we forgotten how to create for ourselves instantly and in the palms of our hands?” This is the store scenario. “Why are you all talking ‘round and ‘round and getting nowhere? Why aren't you being and doing in a straight shot of energy without the peripherals? Why are you discussing “what is” and there-by creating much more of it? Why aren't you experiencing instead of discussing?” This is the conversation scenario.
Vibrating higher creates an intolerance and inability to be part of the old. And at times this can create a hermit, but it is simply part of the process. The higher we vibrate, the more we will be forced to create on the outside what we are vibrating on the inside. And the summer months will finally bring in all the changes in form. We are simply readying at this point.
Also on the 16 th , I felt an immense magnetic pull from below my feet. And currently, we are basically spinning, as the Earth is experiencing a great shift and it is difficult being on her. This can cause a scattered feeling and inability to concentrate and stay grounded. The magnetics are changing. I don't know much about the scientific aspects of this kind of thing, but this is what I am experiencing. A big shifting is occurring. The Earth is turning inside out, or basically beginning to vibrate rightside up in order to correct herself and maintain this alignment of a higher vibration.
As we have completed the last phase of detoxing and emptying out, we are now starting to fill up as well. Except for the night of the 16 th , I have been sleeping for 12 hours straight each night. Much is occurring in the night as we sleep in regard to a new integration and receiving of new information and new ways. We have arrived in a new place and are now “becoming” it.
For first wavers and the highly sensitive, these new changes are really rockin' and rollin' for us. First wavers have been at it the longest and are therefore more emptied out and ready to receive the new. We're also the most tired and also, then, the most ready! And being tired and not caring is the perfect by-product that ascension produces to put us in an energy space of allowing, getting our egos out of the way, and receiving.
So here's the progression: Solar eclipse and equinox energy will bring in more pieces to support our new roles. Mercury moving forward will assist. More energy surges will continue at various intervals providing rungs for the new palette. The summer will bring in the culmination of it all and we can begin creating in the physical a more higher vibrating reality.
Another important piece of news is relevant here as well. These energy shifts can really scatter everything, including friends, identities and our old roles and relationships with people and “things.” Things will be coming back together again and this will begin at the end of March and especially in April. Gradually we will begin strengthening and connecting with “new” everything…….people, places and projects. These new connections will perfectly match how we are now vibrating and what we will now be doing and creating. By the summer months, we will have unity with a whole new scenario.

Amazingly big shift

Come March 11th there will be an amazingly big shift, the largest since 1999. Earth has requested that we help this shift to happen smoothly and peacefully. It is a time of great polarization and there are some difficult squares and oppositions in astrological Terms around this date.The energy that the planet will hold after the shift is the energy of opportunity which seems to me to mean that anything we have been wanting or planning for but have felt stuck and unmoving will suddenly move. That it will be much easier to create, so be a little more careful about what you want/ask for. It is an exciting time and really is full of opportunity.On the date in question, 11th March, at a time you feel or sense is the right time, please stand quietly, if possible, near water - a stream, river, the sea, a lake etc. or if you cannot then have a bowl of water next to you. Let the energy come through you and into the earth, feel it as it passes through you. As you anchor it into the earth you will know when it is time to s top.
If you have been standing in water - great, but if not, then immediately go and put your hands in the water whether it is the sea or A bowl of water. Pour the bowl of water onto the earth after you have put your hands in it. The more bodies this new energy can go through to be anchored, the easier it will be for all humankind to absorb this energy safely and peacefully. Water is a carrier and so putting a part of your body which is carrying this energy into the water helps the energy to spread and anchor.You know I don't request you do such things normally, but this time I have to put my neck on the line and say that this is very, very important. If you don't believe in such things as shifts in energy on the planet, moving us towards higher and finer frequencies, please do this anyway on the 11th, you have nothing to lose except 10 minutes of your time.It will be very interesting to see what happens on planet Earth and in our own private lives after we have anchored in this energy. Minutes now before this reporter's flight toward what has been called the world's worst humanitarian crisis: the ethnic cleansing in Darfur, Sudan.
Janjaweed attacks, by mostly light-skinned Arabs against black Africans, are stepping up again, now crossing the border into Chad. Both sides of the border are now increasingly militarized and the threat of greater violence looms.
Caught in the middle, some 200,000 refugees who fled Darfur, running from the killing, rape and burning of thousands of villages. Chad is no longer a safe refuge, not even to the people of Chad in this no man's land we are heading to. Meantime in Darfur, some two-million people are also in refugee camps.
There is so much suffering in Africa, why should NBC News venture into this dangerous place and focus on this suffering specifically?
Because there is a direct line from the Holocaust to Rwanda, to Bosnia to Kosovo, and to Darfur — a line that we can not ignore and allow to be crossed and still call ourselves human.
Genocide, ethnic cleansing, call it what you will. But above all call it unacceptable. We must stand behind the words "never again."

Villagers who protested that a new housing estate would “harm the fairies” living in their midst have forced a property company to scrap its building plans and start again.
Marcus Salter, head of Genesis Properties, estimates that the small colony of fairies believed to live beneath a rock in St Fillans, Perthshire, has cost him £15,000 ($27,500). His first notice of the residential sensibilities of the netherworld came as his diggers moved on to a site on the outskirts of the village, which crowns the easterly shore of Loch Earn.
He said: “A neighbour came over shouting, ‘Don’t move that rock. You’ll kill the fairies’.” The rock protruded from the centre of a gently shelving field, edged by the steep slopes of Dundurn mountain, where in the sixth century the Celtic missionary St Fillan set up camp and attempted to convert the Picts from the pagan darkness of superstition.
“Then we got a series of phone calls, saying we were disturbing the fairies. I thought they were joking. It didn’t go down very well,” Mr Salter said.
In fact, even as his firm attempted to work around the rock, they received complaints that the fairies would be “upset”. Mr Salter still believed he was dealing with a vocal minority, but the gears of Perthshire’s planning process were about to be clogged by something that looked suspiciously like fairy dust.
“I went to a meeting of the community council and the concerns cropped up there,” he said. The council was considering lodging a complaint with the planning authority, likely to be the kiss of death for a housing development in a national park. Jeannie Fox, council chairman, said: “I do believe in fairies but I can’t be sure that they live under that rock. I had been told that the rock had historic importance, that kings were crowned upon it.” Her main objection to moving the rock was based on the fact that it had stood on the hillside for so long: a sort of MacFeng Shui that many in the village subscribe to.
“There are a lot of superstitions going about up here and people do believe that things like standing stones and large rocks should never be moved,” she said.
Half a mile into Loch Earn is Neish Island. From there the Neish clan set forth to plunder the surrounding country, retreating each time to their island. Early in the 17th century, the MacNabs retaliated from the next valley, carrying a boat over the mountains, storming the island and slaughtering most of the Neishes.
This summer Betty Neish McInnes, the last of that line in St Fillans, went to her grave — but not before she had imparted the ancient Pict significance of the rock to many of her neighbours.
“A lot of people think the rock had some Pictish meaning,” Mrs Fox said. “It would be extremely unlucky to move it.”
Mr Salter did not just want to move the rock. He wanted to dig it up, cart it to the roadside and brand it with the name of his new neighbourhood.
The Planning Inspectorate has no specific guidelines on fairies but a spokesman said: “Planning guidance states that local customs and beliefs must be taken into account when a developer applies for planning permission.” Mr Salter said: “We had to redesign the entire thing from scratch.”
The new estate will now centre on a small park, in the middle of which stands a curious rock. Work begins next month, if the fairies allow.

In fact, even as his firm attempted to work around the rock, they received complaints that the fairies would be “upset”. Mr Salter still believed he was dealing with a vocal minority, but the gears of Perthshire’s planning process were about to be clogged by something that looked suspiciously like fairy dust.
“I went to a meeting of the community council and the concerns cropped up there,” he said. The council was considering lodging a complaint with the planning authority, likely to be the kiss of death for a housing development in a national park. Jeannie Fox, council chairman, said: “I do believe in fairies but I can’t be sure that they live under that rock. I had been told that the rock had historic importance, that kings were crowned upon it.” Her main objection to moving the rock was based on the fact that it had stood on the hillside for so long: a sort of MacFeng Shui that many in the village subscribe to.
“There are a lot of superstitions going about up here and people do believe that things like standing stones and large rocks should never be moved,” she said.
Half a mile into Loch Earn is Neish Island. From there the Neish clan set forth to plunder the surrounding country, retreating each time to their island. Early in the 17th century, the MacNabs retaliated from the next valley, carrying a boat over the mountains, storming the island and slaughtering most of the Neishes.
This summer Betty Neish McInnes, the last of that line in St Fillans, went to her grave — but not before she had imparted the ancient Pict significance of the rock to many of her neighbours.
“A lot of people think the rock had some Pictish meaning,” Mrs Fox said. “It would be extremely unlucky to move it.”
Mr Salter did not just want to move the rock. He wanted to dig it up, cart it to the roadside and brand it with the name of his new neighbourhood.
The Planning Inspectorate has no specific guidelines on fairies but a spokesman said: “Planning guidance states that local customs and beliefs must be taken into account when a developer applies for planning permission.” Mr Salter said: “We had to redesign the entire thing from scratch.”
The new estate will now centre on a small park, in the middle of which stands a curious rock. Work begins next month, if the fairies allow.
