Wow what a program last night! I was so full of mixed emotions. Grateful some of this was hitting National TV finally and saddened to just see and hear the frustration of so many bright people demanding answers but getting nowhere for so very long, saddened to hear the words treason in relation to the U.S government and frightened to hear how precarious the brink is that we sit on. A hairline brink of all out nuclear war with Iran and North Korea. They are replaying this on CSPAN-1 and CSPAN should be commended for airing the scholars panel on theories of 9/11. Of course there wasn't nearly enough time to let these bright panel guests speak at a normal pace about what they have unraveled but there was enough there to at least get the jist it out to people. The producers of the LOOSE CHANGE 9/11 film were on hand as well. That internet documentary has created a sea change of truth thanks to the last bastion of free press- the World Wide Web. Keep in mind there are bills already going through the chains to privatize the internet that would eliminate our ability to see this documentary! Speak up. Keep your eyes wide open. Listen and feel what is truth- even when it hurts and breaks your heart. That is only way you will get to the other side. -Jill

darkest before dawn
When Light is shed in a space, all that was dark becomes revealed. Why do you think the lessons of war on this planet have grown from tribe against tribe, to nation against nation, to isolated pockets of terrorists? Look at the patterns within the Grande Design! We're up to flushing out those pockets, as all societies realize that the need to live in peace and share resources is the only viable path to survival of the human species. Congratulations - we have reached the final crossroads!
What is that higher light being shed? Spiritual integrity, my friends, the highest good of all is becoming our "comfort zone" of morality, rather than the individual good of one without regard for the rest. That way hasn't worked, has it? Yes, we still have the basic forms in place of judgment, guilt, blame and shame, but we are learning to forgive the past and move forward in the Now. What is needed NOW to fix the mess? That is our new focus, as a global people, and that focus will grow to visible depth in the next few years.We are in the process of developing a common consensus for new standards of behavior, from personal to national to global levels. As we rise to each occasion to help our fellow man, time and again we will cement this new paradigm into the global consciousness. What will become the most apparent, and the most painful, is that we must forgive each other for your past, closely-held mindsets and belief systems that caused us to shed blood over land, over power, over money, and the most difficult one of all, shed blood over whose God is better or whose God is right.Ah, but there is such a simple solution for that one! God is Love. That's it! What, you were expecting something complicated? Sorry. God is Love. God is Love. God is Love. God asks us to love all. Love all of it, the good, the bad and the ugly. Ugliness is only a perspective that lives behind the eyes. In the mind and heart, yes? So when we see hatred, violence, abuse, and murder, we close our eyes from the pain of witnessing and pray that it never touches us.
Remember the phrase, "It's always darkest before the dawn." We are merely up to the darkest part of the lesson plan friends. We collectively look at the world's problems and say, "It's everywhere." Yes, it is but so is the Light! It is temptingly easy to slide back into victim mode, into helplessness, into powerlessness, but I implore you not to do so. Again, it's all a matter of perspective, how you see yourself, how much you love yourself, how much you value the human potential. This is what you are doing, fellow lightworkers, energetically transforming the human perspective in order to bring in our higher potential. Without the higher perspective, we cannot see that higher potential and therefore cannot manifest it. We are living as circles upon circles, all our individual lives unfolding next to each other, invisibly woven together by mutual lessons, creating our reality by the way we see things to be. That is why I have always emphasized, throughout my work, to clear all of your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies, in order to be able to reach and blend with the higher energies, with your higher self, to reach and live within and from that higher perspective. Establishing a new paradigm for an entire planet is no small task! It doesn't happen overnight, and it doesn't happen visibly at first, but it is the expansion of that new vision, that new way of thinking, that eventually takes hold and begins to manifest change, quickly.So while you may think that the global mess is beyond fixing, that it is too huge to move forward, I say simply, you are grounding the intent. You are releasing the need for war, heart by heart, and that is releasing the next generation from blindly accepting and perpetuating the old biases. You are doing exactly what you are supposed to be doing! As each government moves towards following the will of the people and doing what is best for its peoples, guess who will be actively creating, nay, manifesting that change? Your children, who refuse to fight each other. Your children, who refuse to hate each other just because their parents do. Your children will make manifest what you are creating in your lifetime. Look around at your current leaders, see how long their career potential is, see how many have already stepped down. Ten years from now, how many of them do you think will be left in charge? Think about that for a moment. Now go forward twenty years. Most of you reading this text will still be alive in twenty years. But most of your current leaders will be long gone, replaced by younger ones.
So though things may look grim, now is the time to stand strong and tall. Time is moving so quickly that change will move quickly, too. As you have heard from other sources, the human consciousness gave permission for this shift to happen at the Harmonic Convergence in 1987. Twenty years later, look at how much on the planet has already shifted into the Light! Look at how much progress has been made, how many old hates and hurts have already been laid to rest, how many people have been saved and aided by our humanitarian efforts. Focus on the good -- feel good about yourself, your life, your potential.If enough people can learn to simply love themselves, those ripples will spread, will connect, will affect the whole planet to bring us beyond war and fear, into a perspective of love and peace. Once enough people shift their internal perspective, outer reality will follow suit.
Peace will come soon, for we are bringing it in by sheer faith!

ages of each eternal _expression of this one and only Life many souls
have lived as joy, peace, and the motion of love in the human realm.
I recognize that once again I am poised and positioned on earth to
aid with the spiritual evolution of The Light of God, The Light of
Peace, and The Light of Love.
Spirit has enlightened me with the wisdom that peace is not something
that is created ~ it is something that is experienced. Today I embody
peace within each living moment. I let go of any thoughts and images
that are intent on separating me from perfect peace. I actively practice
being the reflection of peace in my daily living, and in that, others can
witness a moment of peace in the world. I begin the work of creating
this reality so that the realization is awakened within the One sooner,
better, bigger, and more joyously than ever before.
I am so grateful for the peace that is on the planet, regardless of all
the noise to the contrary. There are places of peace! I am one of them
and I am a powerful action of force. I see this awakened in everyone.
And so it is.

Watch next 15 months
Some good advice from my mentor Janice "Hope" Gorman of the Hope Interfaith Center (link on right) in Mankato.
The Future is Created in the Now!"Dear Friends,To paraphrase the late Bette Davis, “Buckle yourself in; it’s going to be a bumpy ride!” Watch the next 15 months, especially late summer through the late fall. We call it the “wheels coming off the bus” time. A lot of the next part of this year appears to hinge on what we, the common people, are willing to put up with and what we are not willing to put up with. Big doings are afoot!Every 72 years in U.S. politics, there’s a sea of change in the way we relate to our government. The last time it happened was during the era of the Great Depression and before that, the Civil War. We are at one of those radical junctures were we again don’t trust our leaders to lead. So we must lead our own lives back into balance. Here are the top ten issues that need to be taken a look at for our own personal lives and our greater community:1. Sustainable Living. We must see a rapidly growing desire of more people to be self-empowered, non-reliant, and connecting back to the land. A simpler lifestyle will be needed in these high-risk times of terror, pandemics and a compromised food supply. Keep life simple!2. Alternative Energy Movement. With steadily rising fuel prices and oil companies raking in their highest profits on record, the necessity for alternative and economic fuels will be the mother of new energy inventions. Invest your money in breakthrough technologies that explore new sources of energy. Share rides! Walk! There are many simple answers as well!3. Hometown Economy. Stay closer to home! Paying a few pennies more at a local merchant and being concerned with and patronizing your small hometown companies and businesses will bring back the power to the people. Act locally!4. Simplicity. “Less” will be “more.” Big cars, big houses and big extravagances will be a thing of the past as inflation outpaces wages. Watch what you are supporting!5. Economy. In 2006 and 2007, America will take a direct hit from a “category 5” economic storm that is currently brewing on the global financial market and steadily gaining strength. Watch your pennies!6. Living in Community. Find yourself a group of like-minded individuals who care deeply for each other. Community instead of congregation is the ticket to being safe, secure and loved.7. Transformational Sharing. Having the ability to do “transformational sharing” is at hand. For those who HAVE, your job is to take care of those who HAVE NOT! Do not hoard your talents, your food or your money. Now is the time to learn how to share!8. Pro-active Health Care. Drink lots of water. Eat more fresh, organic and raw foods. Spend more time moving your body. Be in a frame of mind that is always in gratitude for what you have. Be a type of person that has joy in your heart so it shows in your face! Physical, mental and emotional health is important for your immune system and is a pro-active move towards the greatest of health.9. Storing Food. Store food but do not hoard food! It would be wise during these times of radical change to keep some stored food for you and your loved ones. It is suggested that you have at least 10-14 days of food and water in your home. This is not to make you go into fear, but it is again a pro-active step that is good for the spirit of your life.10. Continue to Reach and Learn. Old books and old information once served a great purpose. Like always, in the world of change, there is new information coming in all the time. Going to a class or to your teacher or spiritual director is a wise choice in these times of change. Socrates thought the unexamined life was not worth living. Perhaps that is why he roamed the streets of Athens accosting people and asking them their thoughts and beliefs on a whole range of subjects! And how many people in this day and age would agree with Socrates that discussing ideas is the mark of a civilized society? Continue the example he set!The Hope Interfaith Center is dedicated to helping all those who call or come through our doors! It has been difficult to use a yardstick when it has come to morals because morals have changed so much from century to century and even year to year. A Channeled Message Received by Hope…“Wake up! I have something to tell you!”On May 3 at 4:00 a.m., my guides came to me and stated these three things:“A remarkable event is happening.” (pause) “World-wide recognition of awakening is happening.” (pause) “Time to create Doctor of Divinity Program.” (BIG pause)“Oh, no!” I replied. “Why me?”“Because I know that you will do it!” came the answer.I then got out of bed, put on my walking clothes and shoes, and began to pound the pavement with an intensity that would not quit. And the message began:Practicing the living presence of the Cosmic Source — that sounds like a very grand thing — possible only for heroic saints like Saint Francis of Assisi, Saint Theresa of Avila or Saint John of the Cross. But you must never forget that heroic saint, mystics, spiritual leaders and heroes began just like you. They ARE you, transfigured by love. They ARE you, transfigured by earnestness, sincerity and devotion to practice in the name and the grace of the Cosmic Creator Source. If you remember this, you will never lose heart, you will never be discouraged by whatever happens to you because you will know that great possibilities are out there for you!All the divine mystics and masters, all the divine traditions have told us that we are one with the Divine itself. We must never, ever forget this. The way to never, ever forget this is to develop from the very beginning of your entry in the path of Divinity a very simple, very humble, very steady, very consistent, very intelligent practice. This practice then makes one a “practitioner of Divinity,” one who has come to divinize themselves while walking on the earth plane. Sound impossible? Well, it is not!Those of you who will be drawn to this program have a contract in this lifetime to divinize yourselves — not in a way that promotes ego and grandiosity, but in a way of becoming a modern day mystic for others to model. The class of the Doctorate of Divinity at every stage will be useful and extraordinarily pregnant with every kind of help that all mystics have studied and used to create a radiant glow of the Cosmic Creator. Each stage of learning and development will reveal different depths, different intensities and different possibilities.When you fall in love with someone, your initial conversations are very, very different than the conversations you have when you marry that someone and that love has become a very, very deep mature, constant, consistent experience. Your spirituality is the same way — the practice at the beginning of your path will be very, very different from those who are now ready to take this mystery school of Divinity. In this mystery school, as you come to master your own divinity, it will become more and more evident — not only to you but to the others who see you as well.The great challenge to our society is to take these sublime truths and possibilities and really live them in the core of our ordinary lives. The studies in this mystery school will be about the teachings and lives of spiritual heroes — spiritual heroes of the past and currently of the now, so we can become in our own right a spiritual hero of the future. We were all meant to be our own hero and then become a spiritual hero for others; even if it is only shown in the way we walk our daily lives.So, if you really do accept this challenge, as crazy as it might sound, you will find what all those before you have found and accepted when they accepted this challenge. And that finding is that the Cosmic Spirit in its infinite mercy and in its infinite tender, nurturing care for each and every one of us will give us extraordinary inspiration and abilities. I think the most important instruction that a teacher/master ever gave to human beings was how to stay in constant connection with the Divine.Matthew 7: 7-12 “Ask and it shall be given. Seek and ye shall find. Knock and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that asks it shall be received. And he that seeketh will find it. And to them that knocks, it shall be opened.”This Mystery School will meet 5 times a year for two years. We will be meeting from Friday afternoon until Sunday noon. The curriculum will be taken from a variety of places that will introduce you to new concepts and techniques. Some of the techniques will help you through the most volatile situations into a natural interchange of compassion, generosity and personal divinity.Learn about a radically different kind of honesty — one where ego/body based consciousness can be no more! A Channeled Message Received by Hope…“Wake up! I have something to tell you!”On May 3 at 4:00 a.m., my guides came to me and stated these three things:“A remarkable event is happening.” (pause) “World-wide recognition of awakening is happening.” (pause) “Time to create Doctor of Divinity Program.” (BIG pause)“Oh, no!” I replied. “Why me?”“Because I know that you will do it!” came the answer.I then got out of bed, put on my walking clothes and shoes, and began to pound the pavement with an intensity that would not quit. And the message began:Practicing the living presence of the Cosmic Source — that sounds like a very grand thing — possible only for heroic saints like Saint Francis of Assisi, Saint Theresa of Avila or Saint John of the Cross. But you must never forget that heroic saint, mystics, spiritual leaders and heroes began just like you. They ARE you, transfigured by love. They ARE you, transfigured by earnestness, sincerity and devotion to practice in the name and the grace of the Cosmic Creator Source. If you remember this, you will never lose heart, you will never be discouraged by whatever happens to you because you will know that great possibilities are out there for you!All the divine mystics and masters, all the divine traditions have told us that we are one with the Divine itself. We must never, ever forget this. The way to never, ever forget this is to develop from the very beginning of your entry in the path of Divinity a very simple, very humble, very steady, very consistent, very intelligent practice. Emergence is clearly underway even for those
who are not yet awakened to it. Some channels
say too many are not yet awakened and Emergence

to assist us. Imagine the uproar this would cause
some of us as we purge and clear in our own

all around us in loved ones, careers, North Korea,
Middle East, Iraq, Pakistan and Washington. Ask
yourself how would you feel if E.T's appeared- would
you be fearful? I know my first reaction is that I would!
Hollywood has given us some horrific ideas of ETs aside
from Steven Spielbergs beloved and cuddly "ET" and
"K-PAX" the walk-in story with Kevin Spacey. I've
interviewed some conscious walk ins and let me tell you
these are the only 2 stories where Hollywood got it even
remotely close! On the good side- the shift will occur
much more swiftly with their assistance. In event it

Warming a "hoax" Speak up to the the injustice of these
lies now. Do not allow yourself to be treated like 2 year olds.
I was surprised only 2,000 Americans have signed petition
to ratify Kyoto. Please awaken to this urgent need for
Mother Earth to be cleansed of years of Fossil Fuels and
sign the petition that you'll find here. I am hopeful but
outraged by our apathy as the rest of the world moves forward
to the new technologies that will save Mother Earth and
we sit idly by. Get in to action! Will post the latest
message from Hope Interfaith Center this week which
has a theme of "Be prepared" Hang on it could be a
bumpy ride........

Americans for Kyoto Petition In signing this petition, I, a citizen of the United States, hereby pledge my support of the Kyoto Protocol, a Treaty agreed to by 178 nations to reduce the emissions that contribute to the greenhouse effect and global warming. The United States is the world's largest polluter. Yet in Bonn, Germany, the U.S. was the only major industrialized nation to reject the Kyoto Protocol. Showing little regard for the concerns of the international community, and seemingly without any credence in the findings of the world's most prominent scientists, Bush rejected the Kyoto Protocol, claiming that the American economy would suffer. This is not only an international embarassment but most importantly, the decision represents a danger to the future of our world as we know it. As a citizen of the United States, I voice my strong opposition to Mr. Bush's decision, and hereby stand with the majority of Americans, who voted for and want our nation to endorse and comply with the Kyoto Treaty. We the people intend to endorse and comply with the Treaty, with or without the so-called leader of the free world. The Kyoto Pledge As an American for Kyoto, 1. I pledge to do all within my power to see that the United States abides by the rules of the 1997 Kyoto Protocol, an international plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions that lead to global warming. 2. Eberts review on Global Warming film
I was shopping yesterday at the local "Street Fair" in near 100 degree heat. My mother and I took my children into the local beloved Independent Theatre to
cool off. We bought them a pop and sat down and they heard the movie playing behind the theatre doors and of course asked if they could sneak a peek. The lady behind the counter said sure so they ducked in for a few moments. As I've written here, I had already seen the documentary and thought it would be fine. I was surprised however at their reaction when they came back out into the theater lobby. "Can we please go to that Mom?" they asked. Really I said- a 2 hour movie of slides and graphs and scientific data you think you could sit through that? "Yes, we want to" they said. So I complated the value of plunking down another $30 for us all to go (that's a huge chunk in our family budget)
and figured it was a good donation to their education of the issue since they do not get near enough of it in their education and a worth contribution to the cause as well since all the proceeds of the now $15 million dollar gross goes toward Global warming education and felt this would make for good outing on another hundred degree day. Not missing for a moment the irony of the temperature gauge and what was to be another possible record breaking heat index day. And so it is that we took our two children age 8 and 10 to the Al Gore's documentary, an Inconvenient Truth. Purchasing the tickets the woman behind the counter look a bit confused and as she glanced at the kids she asked "IS this for the 1pm movie?" "Inconvenient Truth?" I answered "Oh, okay she said" to such a degree that I had to be reassured "That is showing now isn't it?" "Yes she said- I just, I'm not sure if you want your children to see it" she said. I don't have many pet peeves in life but someone telling me how to be with my children or assuming I'm not being responsible is a big one. If you know me, you'd probably find a great deal of humor in it since I am a bit overboard on how strict I am on certain things and how often I go against the grain of societys view of whats right and not right for our children. But I just smiled and said "Well, I've seen the film already, and they know a great deal about this issue and I'm pretty comfortable with them seeing it" and left it at that.
It felt good to see the film again.
I let the facts and images wash over as I did before. Overwhelmed. But filled with hope. And gratitude. Gratitude for Gore's passion to make this film and deliver this message. Iteared up when Gore said he was doing what he could to get the message out city by city, person by person.... family by family. As I sat close with my most favorite people in the world. My family. And the childrens reaction of what more we can be doing, the pride they felt on what we already do in our home, the maturity in which they handled this film is something I will never forget. They were not filled with fear nor were they dismissive of the graveness of the situation.
I asked my Dad to go with me and he said "I don't like Gore" and it had the opposite effect, it saddened me. How many will not see this message simply because of politics or because of their opinion of the messenger?
Including our own President of the United States.
Please see it. And please speak up now before its too late. Here's a great review from Roger Ebert of Chicago Sun Times. And Dad- as he says in this review-you may have to answer to your Grandchildren as to why you won't see this film.

Global warming is real.It is caused by human activity.Mankind and its governments must begin immediate action to halt and reverse it.If we do nothing, in about 10 years the planet may reach a "tipping point" and begin a slide toward destruction of our civilization and most of the other species on this planet.
After that point is reached, it would be too late for any action.
These facts are stated by Al Gore in the documentary "An Inconvenient Truth." Forget he ever ran for office. Consider him a concerned man speaking out on the approaching crisis. "There is no controversy about these facts," he says in the film. "Out of 925 recent articles in peer-review scientific journals about global warming, there was no disagreement. Zero."
He stands on a stage before a vast screen, in front of an audience. The documentary is based on a speech he has been developing for six years, and is supported by dramatic visuals. He shows the famous photograph "Earthrise," taken from space by the first American astronauts. Then he shows a series of later space photographs, clearly indicating that glaciers and lakes are shrinking, snows are melting, shorelines are retreating.
He provides statistics: The 10 warmest years in history were in the last 14 years. Last year South America experienced its first hurricane. Japan and the Pacific are setting records for typhoons. Hurricane Katrina passed over Florida, doubled back over the Gulf, picked up strength from unusually warm Gulf waters, and went from Category 3 to Category 5. There are changes in the Gulf Stream and the jet stream. Cores of polar ice show that carbon dioxide is much, much higher than ever before in a quarter of a million years. It was once thought that such things went in cycles. Gore stands in front of a graph showing the ups and downs of carbon dioxide over the centuries. Yes, there is a cyclical pattern. Then, in recent years, the graph turns up and keeps going up, higher and higher, off the chart.
The primary man-made cause of global warming is the burning of fossil fuels. We are taking energy stored over hundreds of millions of years in the form of coal, gas and oil, and releasing it suddenly. This causes global warming, and there is a pass-along effect. Since glaciers and snow reflect sunlight but sea water absorbs it, the more the ice melts, the more of the sun's energy is retained by the sea.
Gore says that although there is "100 percent agreement" among scientists, a database search of newspaper and magazine articles shows that 57 percent question the fact of global warming, while 43 percent support it. These figures are the result, he says, of a disinformation campaign started in the 1990s by the energy industries to "reposition global warming as a debate." It is the same strategy used for years by the defenders of tobacco. My father was a Luckys smoker who died of lung cancer in 1960, and 20 years later it was still "debatable" that there was a link between smoking and lung cancer. Now we are talking about the death of the future, starting in the lives of those now living.
"The world won't 'end' overnight in 10 years," Gore says. "But a point will have been passed, and there will be an irreversible slide into destruction."
In England, Sir James Lovelock, the scientist who proposed the Gaia hypothesis (that the planet functions like a living organism), has published a new book saying that in 100 years mankind will be reduced to "a few breeding couples at the Poles." Gore thinks "that's too pessimistic. We can turn this around just as we reversed the hole in the ozone layer. But it takes action right now, and politicians in every nation must have the courage to do what is necessary. It is not a political issue. It is a moral issue."
When I said I was going to a press screening of "An Inconvenient Truth," a friend said, "Al Gore talking about the environment! Bor...ing!" This is not a boring film. The director, Davis Guggenheim, uses words, images and Gore's concise litany of facts to build a film that is fascinating and relentless. In 39 years, I have never written these words in a movie review, but here they are: You owe it to yourself to see this film. If you do not, and you have grandchildren, you should explain to them why you decided not to.
Am I acting as an advocate in this review? Yes, I am. I believe that to be "impartial" and "balanced" on global warming means one must take a position like Gore's. There is no other view that can be defended. Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), chairman of the Senate Environment Committee, has said, "Global warming is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people." I hope he takes his job seriously enough to see this film. I think he has a responsibility to do that.
What can we do? Switch to and encourage the development of alternative energy sources: Solar, wind, tidal, and, yes, nuclear. Move quickly toward hybrid and electric cars. Pour money into public transit, and subsidize the fares. Save energy in our houses. I did a funny thing when I came home after seeing "An Inconvenient Truth." I went around the house turning off the lights.

"There is no controversy about these facts," he says in the film. "Out of 925 recent articles in peer-review scientific journals about global warming, there was no disagreement. Zero."
He stands on a stage before a vast screen, in front of an audience. The documentary is based on a speech he has been developing for six years, and is supported by dramatic visuals. He shows the famous photograph "Earthrise," taken from space by the first American astronauts. Then he shows a series of later space photographs, clearly indicating that glaciers and lakes are shrinking, snows are melting, shorelines are retreating.
He provides statistics: The 10 warmest years in history were in the last 14 years. Last year South America experienced its first hurricane. Japan and the Pacific are setting records for typhoons. Hurricane Katrina passed over Florida, doubled back over the Gulf, picked up strength from unusually warm Gulf waters, and went from Category 3 to Category 5. There are changes in the Gulf Stream and the jet stream. Cores of polar ice show that carbon dioxide is much, much higher than ever before in a quarter of a million years. It was once thought that such things went in cycles. Gore stands in front of a graph showing the ups and downs of carbon dioxide over the centuries. Yes, there is a cyclical pattern. Then, in recent years, the graph turns up and keeps going up, higher and higher, off the chart.
The primary man-made cause of global warming is the burning of fossil fuels. We are taking energy stored over hundreds of millions of years in the form of coal, gas and oil, and releasing it suddenly. This causes global warming, and there is a pass-along effect. Since glaciers and snow reflect sunlight but sea water absorbs it, the more the ice melts, the more of the sun's energy is retained by the sea.
Gore says that although there is "100 percent agreement" among scientists, a database search of newspaper and magazine articles shows that 57 percent question the fact of global warming, while 43 percent support it. These figures are the result, he says, of a disinformation campaign started in the 1990s by the energy industries to "reposition global warming as a debate." It is the same strategy used for years by the defenders of tobacco. My father was a Luckys smoker who died of lung cancer in 1960, and 20 years later it was still "debatable" that there was a link between smoking and lung cancer. Now we are talking about the death of the future, starting in the lives of those now living.
"The world won't 'end' overnight in 10 years," Gore says. "But a point will have been passed, and there will be an irreversible slide into destruction."
In England, Sir James Lovelock, the scientist who proposed the Gaia hypothesis (that the planet functions like a living organism), has published a new book saying that in 100 years mankind will be reduced to "a few breeding couples at the Poles." Gore thinks "that's too pessimistic. We can turn this around just as we reversed the hole in the ozone layer. But it takes action right now, and politicians in every nation must have the courage to do what is necessary. It is not a political issue. It is a moral issue."
When I said I was going to a press screening of "An Inconvenient Truth," a friend said, "Al Gore talking about the environment! Bor...ing!" This is not a boring film. The director, Davis Guggenheim, uses words, images and Gore's concise litany of facts to build a film that is fascinating and relentless. In 39 years, I have never written these words in a movie review, but here they are: You owe it to yourself to see this film. If you do not, and you have grandchildren, you should explain to them why you decided not to.
Am I acting as an advocate in this review? Yes, I am. I believe that to be "impartial" and "balanced" on global warming means one must take a position like Gore's. There is no other view that can be defended. Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), chairman of the Senate Environment Committee, has said, "Global warming is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people." I hope he takes his job seriously enough to see this film. I think he has a responsibility to do that.
What can we do? Switch to and encourage the development of alternative energy sources: Solar, wind, tidal, and, yes, nuclear. Move quickly toward hybrid and electric cars. Pour money into public transit, and subsidize the fares. Save energy in our houses. I did a funny thing when I came home after seeing "An Inconvenient Truth." I went around the house turning off the lights.

In light of all the changes we have experienced in our world since the happenings of September 11th, I feel strongly that we must stop... and affirm certain truths. In affirming these truths, we consciously begin the stabilization of the energy of the world within us, thereby stabilizing the energetic spheres in the world around us.
Truth # 1 We are great, powerful and mighty spiritual beings of light living in a physical world with dignity, direction, and purpose.
Truth # 2 We choose to come here as a 'force of one' in order to make changes for the betterment of humanity, knowing that we are capable of making a real difference. Each of us has designed our life with as many obstacles and challenges as we could create along with a variety of options and possibilities to overcome those same challenges. Remember this my friends, we can never become a great sea captain if you only sail calm waters… Be proud that most of us have chosen to sail our ships in the North Atlantic in winter or during typhoon season in the South China Seas!
Truth #3 We were chosen to come here. What this means is that a great, divine, and infinitely loving Force trusts and believes we will achieve the goal we were sent to accomplish. We will do this in the namesake of what we personally hold Divine. I firmly believe that very few of us ever fail this part of the life mission.
Truth #4 We all possess an abundance of gifts and talents. One vital aspect of living this life is to discover and develop the wisest use these talents in order to produce the greatest possible potential for good.
Truth # 5 We chose to be alive at this time, at this place and at this point in history. Never before have we had such a glorious opportunity to display our individual power and presence. Think of this, when someone gives us a gift it is called a present. The present we have been given today is the NOW. This is the exact moment to truly know that we can make the difference.
