820 million people go hungry

Estimated 820 million people go hungry

By BARRY SCHWEID, AP Diplomatic WriterThu May 24, 5:20 PM ET
An estimated 820 million people around the world do not get enough to eat, despite delivery of 2.5 million tons of American food a year worth more than $1 billion, the U.S. Office of Food for Peace told Congress on Thursday.
Millions of lives have been saved as a result of the largest food aid program in the world, testified William Hammink, director of the U.S. Agency for International Development program.
However, Hammink and Thomas Melito, of the Government Accountability Office, a congressional watchdog agency, said emergency food aid requests are increasing as are transportation costs, while natural disasters compound needs.
For instance, Hammink said, droughts that used to occur in Africa every 10 or 20 years recently began occurring every two or three years. At the same time, he said, the spread of HIV/AIDS in southern Africa contributes to the food crisis by leaving more people unable to work.
Hammink told the House Africa and Global Affairs subcommittee that the Bush administration is proposing that up to 25 percent of the U.S. food contributions be purchased locally, easing delivery costs.
And to help reduce the time needed to respond to emergencies, Hammink said the Agency for International Development is pursuing a successful program of pre-positioning food aid at U.S. ports and overseas.
Rep. Christopher H. Smith, R-N.J., said the proposal for local purchases was controversial because farm groups, agribusiness and the maritime industry benefit from the current program.
"However, the status quo is not serving the interests of our food assistance programs if domestic economic interests are overriding the need to save people from dying of hunger," Smith said.
The senior Republican on the subcommittee said he was encouraging Congress to grant the authority to make emergency food purchases closer to where the food is to be distributed.
Melito, testifying on a GAO report completed last month, said under U.S. law 75 percent of the food must be shipped on U.S. flag carriers, which generally cost more than foreign carriers.
The GAO report concluded rising business and transportation costs have contributed to a 52 percent decline in the amount of food delivered between 2001 and 2006 and take up 65 percent of what is spent on emergency food aid.
The watchdog agency recommended improved planning and better monitoring of deliveries.
Still, the report said the U.S. program last year helped more than 70 million people

Edwards slams War on Terror

Edwards: 'War on Terror' Has Hurt U.S.
John Edwards Denounces 'War on Terror,' Says U.S. Policies Have Strained Military Resources
By BETH FOUHY
The Associated Press
NEW YORK

Democrat John Edwards Wednesday repudiated the notion that there is a "global war on terror," calling it an ideological doctrine advanced by the Bush administration that has strained American military resources and emboldened terrorists.

In a defense policy speech to the Council on Foreign Relations, Edwards called the war on terror a "bumper sticker" slogan Bush had used to justify everything from abuses at the Abu Ghraib prison to the invasion of Iraq.

"We need a post-Bush, post-9/11, post-Iraq military that is mission focused on protecting Americans from 21st century threats, not misused for discredited ideological purposes," Edwards said. "By framing this as a war, we have walked right into the trap the terrorists have set that we are engaged in some kind of clash of civilizations and a war on Islam."

Edwards is not the first presidential candidate to publicly reject the notion of a war on terrorism. In a speech last fall, Democrat Joe Biden also criticized the doctrine as "simply wrong."

In the first presidential debate last month in South Carolina, Edwards and Biden said they did not believe there was a global war on terror, along with Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich and former Alaska Sen. Mike Gravel. Front-runners Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama indicated that they did.

It was a new line of attack for Edwards, who often spoke out in support of pursuing a war on terror as a North Carolina senator and later as the 2004 Democratic vice-presidential nominee.

"For us to be successful in this war on terrorism, we have to find these terrorist groups where they are, whether it's within our borders or outside our borders, and stop them and stamp them out before they do us harm," Edwards said in a 2004 CNN interview.

Edwards also voted in 2002 to authorize the invasion of Iraq but has since become a harsh critic of the conflict. In his speech, he reiterated his call to remove American combat troops from Iraq within a year and vowed to "restore the contract we have with those who proudly wear the uniform to defend our country and make the world a safe and better place."

Edwards outlined several steps he said he would pursue as president to strengthen the military, including using force only to pursue essential national security missions, improve civilian-military relations, and root out mismanagement at the Pentagon.

He said he would created a "national security budget" to include the activities of several agencies, including the Pentagon, Energy Department, and Homeland Security. He also said he would boost the budget for military recruiting.

But Edwards saved his toughest words for the Bush administration, whom he accused of engaging in wrongheaded military adventures while abandoning U.S. "moral leadership" in the world. Because of the administration's poor stewardship, Edwards said troops were exhausted, overworked, and potentially ill-prepared for future threats.

"Leading the military out of the wreckage left by the poor civilian leadership of this administration will be the single most important duty of the next commander in chief," Edwards said.

Anticipating the speech, the Republican National Committee sent out a research document titled "Edwards' Troop Profiteering," noting that his campaign routinely solicits donations to help Edwards pursue his anti-war efforts.

"One can't help but wonder how John Edwards is comfortable beefing up his campaign coffers at the expense of our troops," RNC spokeswoman Summer Johnson said. "Edwards' profiteering isn't only in poor taste but it also illustrates his hunger for the White House trumps his sensitivity toward those serving America."

DiCaprios new Environmental film

DiCaprio follows Gore on climate change By ANGELA DOLAND, Associated Press Writer
Sat May 19, 5:00 PM ET

About a decade ago, when Leonardo DiCaprio was on the cusp of megastardom and Al Gore was the U.S. vice president, the two talked together about global warming.

Now an all-out environmental activist, DiCaprio has followed Gore's lead by bringing a climate change documentary to the Cannes Film Festival. DiCaprio co-produced and co-wrote "The 11th Hour," which explains how humans have changed the climate and how to fix the damage.

"It's such an amazingly large issue, and you suddenly you feel like, what can I do? What can I do? It's too big for me to deal with," the 32-year-old actor told reporters Saturday in a beach cabana overlooking the Mediterranean.

DiCaprio said the environmental movement owed a great debt to Gore, whose "An Inconvenient Truth," was shown at Cannes and won an Academy Award for best documentary feature.

"I think that movie, through the cinematic format, was able to convey science to the public and to the media in a way that it had never done before," DiCaprio said.

He said at their meeting about 10 years ago, Gore "took his time to talk to me about the issue of global warming, which I didn't really understand very much about, and from then on I've kind of been more active."

While "An Inconvenient Truth" laid out the science behind global warming and its impact, DiCaprio's film doesn't try to prove that global warming exists — it accepts that it does and goes from there. It asks and responds to philosophical questions such as, how did mankind let nature deteriorate to this point?

DiCaprio also narrates the movie, which was directed by Leila Conners Petersen and Nadia Conners and includes commentary by visionaries from physicist Stephen Hawking to former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev.

For a new project, DiCaprio is looking for a script with an environmental theme.

"It can't be just a film about the environment for the sake of doing it," he said. "It's got to be powerful and moving. ... It's got to be good."

Climate change summit

World's mayors meet at New York climate change summit by James Hossack
2 hours, 31 minutes ago

Mayors and business leaders from more than 40 of the world's biggest cities were gathering in New York Monday for a summit devoted to combating climate change and cleaning up the environment.

Leaders from Seoul to Sydney and Mumbai to Mexico City are expected at the C40 Large Cities Climate Summit, billed as helping to reduce cities' greenhouse gas emissions and develop more energy-efficient infrastructure.

The summit, which opens with a reception late Monday and runs through Thursday, is expected to include several joint initiatives that harness the cities' combined purchasing power.

The event is being organized in conjunction with The Clinton Climate Initiative, part of the foundation set up by former US president Bill Clinton, who is due to address the summit on its last full day Wednesday.

The first large cities summit was held in London in 2005 and brought together environmental officials from around 20 cities to exchange ideas and set up a network of like-minded cities.

This year's meeting for the first time brings in business leaders.

The key to the summit is the financial case for addressing climate change, said Kathryn Wylde, president of the Partnership for New York City, a non-governmental business leadership group organizing the summit.

"The feeling was it was important for this summit to focus on the potential economic benefits of cities taking action to reduce carbon emissions and address climate change," she said.

Former World Bank chief economist Nicholas Stern last year warned that the fallout of climate change could be on the scale of the two world wars and the Great Depression of the 1930s unless urgent action was taken.

Wylde said that by bringing together city authorities and the companies who can provide technological solutions and the financial institutions to back new initiatives, the summit was much more than just a talking shop.

"You've had lots of people that are abstractly talking about global warming and advocating policy change, but these are people who actually write checks ... who are making a public commitment," she said.

"It's no longer a matter just of rhetoric. Mayors are 'roll up your sleeves' guys that really have to run a city and do things," she said. "These are mayors with real budgets, real local obligations."

Other topics up for discussion include beating congestion, making water systems more efficient, adopting renewable energy sources, increasing recycling levels, reducing waste and improving mass transit systems.

Cities are responsible for around three-quarters of the world's energy consumption and are considered critical to reducing carbon emissions.

The summit would allow cities to pool their influence to create a movement that could make a real change to tackling global warming, Wylde said.

"If one city by itself implements a policy to reduce its carbon emissions, I don't think it's going to convince anyone that that's going to change the world," she said.

"But if the larger cities across five continents commit to do something, that could change the world. It could have a real impact on the case of climate change," she said.

Among the cities attending the summit are Bangkok, Beijing, Cairo, Delhi, Dhaka, Istanbul, Jakarta, Johannesburg, Karachi, London, Lagos, Melbourne, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo.

May message from Ariel

Pure Divine Love Newsletter

May 2007 - Vol.9, Issue 1

Greetings of Peace,

“I’m An Ascended Master, Get Me Outta Here!”

It has been almost 9 months since I’ve sent anything out to the ‘world’ at large, and so it feels a bit strange, as in do I really have anything to say? I suppose it feels a bit like running into an old lover, and suddenly experiencing that funny awkward moment while you both adjust to seeing each other again. My first instinct is to casually inquire, “so…how have you been?” or something like that. Okay, over that. Now, let’s get on with it.

I have been busy. I’ve been gestating. I’ve given birth as well…a new finished book, and another one in the oven, so to speak. I am undergoing a further dissolving of the egoic structure (hey, you have been too!), and a collapsing of the familiar both inwardly and outwardly. What the heck can one count on anymore? The insanity quotient seems to be rising in the outer environment, which is a direct reflection of the dysfunction on the inner collective landscape. Over here in the U.K., there’s a cornball situation comedy-variety show called “I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!”, which may perfectly sum up the response many of us may be having about our perspective of life in the everyday world. I’ve reworked the title a bit (see above), and you can insert any pet identity you’ve got a the moment into it.

On of these insane bits I’ve noticed of late is that there are still many strange emails floating around out there in cyberspace that are exhorting us to participate in this or that exercise, meditation, or discipline in order to ‘assist’ in the planetary ascension and usher in the 7th Golden Age, etc., etc. Unfortunately folks, this is just another part of collective ego that is fascinated with structures and procedures to ensure security and salvation in some future time. Oh, and we need to do it together or we may not make it. This kind of thing just breeds more separation because it implies that we aren’t already together (there is only One here), and it also implies that we aren’t doing enough. That’s mind stuff and futurizing! Our egos are becoming too spiritualized, and therefore caught up with fascinating about what we do want or don’t want as a spiritual experience with the outer reality. In other words, the focus is on more polarity rather than authentic being.

One of the latest incarnations of this manifestation is the phenomena of “The Secret”, the basis of which isn’t all that secret, being that the principles of thought and attraction affecting the substance of matter have been existent for thousands of years, and solidly ‘out there’ for the last 30 odd years in popular literature and films. Getting whatever you want by just focusing on it is just more of the ego playing with the Matrix. Archangel Ariel once described this as a manipulating the false reality, especially when it is used as a reaction to unpleasant life situations. Sure, even The Christ taught that ‘whatsoever you ask of the Father, believing, will be done unto you.’ However, we will usually pass on the part that our egos don’t like, namely, ‘not my will, but Thy Will be done.’ The cup we don’t want to drink from is the bitter cup of renouncing the control, the power of the ego mind. If we ever are to be enlightened, we will all eventually have to give up our lesser goals for the pearl of great price…freedom from duality and the mind. If we still want something, and we will still think that we can be ‘more’ through acquiring something in the outer, then we are still looking for our identity there as well. Nothing wrong the ‘stuff’ out there, except when we think of it as real, and that when we attract it into our lives through spiritual disciplines we have somehow ‘made it’ spiritually. Is that really true though?

What, you ask, shall we do then? Well, I don’t propose just sitting around in lotus posture for the rest of our days, and likewise I am not recommending that you start a revolution either. What I do suggest is that it will go a lot easier and more gracefully for us when we let go of our programmed need to do something. It does not help anyone when we have not yet healed what is still unconscious within ourselves, and unless we cultivate accepting of what is so right now, no matter how unsatisfactory, then we will be unable to forgive the situations we or others have unconsciously created. More importantly, we will not have extended that forgiveness, the affirmation of innocence, to ourselves and others. It is the ego, the unconscious self that we do not see, that is co creating the dance of opposites. Whenever we become focused only on that which is ‘positive’, the unconscious self will always bring its opposite into the experience as well. All that is in this moment is impermanent, transitory…except the Real You, which is to say the Real Us, or Oneness. It is this realization that is the salvation of the world. As each one of the One awakens to this fundamental aspect of Reality, then the healing will have occurred, and through that the healing of the world will also occur.

So, ascended masters do not have to ‘get outta here’. That is an obvious judgment. Neither do they have to ‘do’ anything to correct the outer world. They judge not, nor condemn, and through pure being that which needs doing arises from effortless effort, the non-doing of Spirit. That is real power, real love, and the wellspring of infinite possibilities.

What are those infinite possibilities about anyway? Creating peace, joy, and beauty in whatever way brings you those same qualities. The frequency you emit as Spirit becomes obscured wherever and whenever you allow the mind to engage in the tyranny of time-related regrets or goals. Yes, have goals, but do not live in them! Yes, have dreams, and do not become slaves to them. Yes, enjoy the fruits of the world, but do not look for ‘who you are’ in them. You’re only task, if it can be called such, is to awaken from the self, and become whole and undivided again. That is called mastery that…is called heaven.

The next time you get an email that exhorts you to do this or that because there is a significant energy portal that is opening and the Universe needs YOU to assist, or well, it just might not be enough to tilt the tables toward the Light, take a deep breath, close your eyes, and radiate your Presence to all from a place of transcendent Love and transpersonal compassion. Then, press delete. After all, you don’t want to suffer from post-portal depression.

Peace,

Isaac

NEW BOOK !!!

One of the reasons for the lack of newsletters during the past nine months is because I’ve been writing a book! In November 2005, while working on another book project, I was inspired to lay aside my current literary project and ‘allow’ another work to come through. Thirteen months later, just around the Winter Solstice, the ‘work’ was completed. Currently the book is in the final stages of editing and adding illustrations, and will be sent off for printing and publication in early summer, with availability expected by July of 2007.

The title is “What Really Matters” Copywrite © Isaac George 2007. The book is a collection of perspectives inspired by Infinite Consciousness about many aspects of the spiritual awakening process, and how to deal with the challenges of living in these chaotic and interesting times. Infused with wit, wisdom and simplicity, it is designed primarily for those who are experiencing their first awakenings from the ego-centered dream, and it is at the same time an inspiring and comforting read for those who have already been on their path towards enlightenment.

For more information about final publication date and availability, please email us to be put on the book list so that we may contact you when we have more news. Updates will also be posted on the website, and I will include some excerpts of the book in the next Newsletter.

Namaste’

NEW MUSIC & VIDEO!

In the last newsletter (Sept. 2006: The Resonant World) we provided a link to a video created by Jill Westerholm for YouTube that was entitled “Awaken Yourself.” Well, Jill has done it again, and we invite you to view the newest creation, which is based on a channelling I facilitated from The Christ Consciousness last year entitled “Blessings Beyond Measure.” This message came through on February 9th, 2006, and it may be found in the Message Archives here. Jill also asked me to assist in selecting a soundtrack for the video, and she wondered if I would be interested in creating some original music for it. She sent me a short looped clip of what she had been working on, and I sat at the keyboards and let it all just come through me. So, we hope you enjoy an excerpt of the channelled message from Master Yeshua set to images and music, and we enthusiastically urge you to view some of the other videos that Jill has created in her YouTube space here. Jill can also be reached at The Great Emergence web log.

To view “Blessings Beyond Measure”, just click here.

We’ll have a short MP3 clip from the soundtrack up on the Sacred Sound section of our website as soon as possible too. The full composition will be part of an upcoming CD of original meditative and journeying music. Look for it to be released in the Fall of 2007.

Enjoy!!

Message from Archangel Ariel

May 2007

“Breaking the Rules”

“Greetings, Ariel here. We come forth at this time in your Now to be present with you. In the immediacy of this moment, even as you read these words on a screen or page, we are encouraging you to shed your skins. What are your ‘skins?’ Your skins are any definition or belief that veils who you are and creates aliases and identities, what you now refer to as your multi-dimensional self. Being multi-dimensional is useful if you desire to understand the full import of your participation in the little stories and big stories that have been what you call your ‘life experience.’ However, it is crippling to your spiritual and metaphysical well-being to become too closely identified with calling yourself a ‘multi-dimensional master’, or any other label that you seek to know yourself through. As far as this now goes, Consciousness is permeating the substance of your Being so profoundly as to make it increasingly difficult to maintain any stories, identities, aliases, or cosmic plots. You are having an identity crisis! Congratulations.

If you cling to the past or the future, you will feel the discomfort even more exquisitely.

The quicker you dispense with the baggage you are carrying, the quicker you will feel the ecstasy of unity. Indeed, the majority of that baggage is the weight of rules which are the result of eons of conditioning through fear, trauma and indoctrination. Every belief added to the previous one is a bar added to an invisible prison called your mind and the senses. After awhile most entities slide into a sort of comfortably numb state that accepts the limitations, the laws, the parameters and paradigms as real and necessary. Indeed this is the programming that this illusory tyranny of fear dictates.

When a spirit in form awakens, there is an initial questioning of one’s circumstances and associations, and then determined action takes the person with the new awareness into an expansion of their perceptions in which they now behold themselves and all that is manifest as all part of a greater Whole. Old forms and restrictions give way, but soon a new orthodoxy is embraced and then called ‘freedom.’ This can take the form of another, grander story that is galactic or cosmic in nature, but is still tied to forms and identities. Further on, there is a sense of the new thing feeling like the old thing, and the questioning begins anew, the dissatisfaction grows and the ‘longing’ again dominates your heart. None of this has to be this way, and the path to enlightenment was never intended to be a maze that leads you back to yet another starting point. Enlightenment is the completion of all stories, all identities, and all past and all future…it ends in the eternal now and it is called Oneness.

In order that you may find your Self, it will be necessary to shift your focus, your perception. In fact, it will require the breaking of rules…many, many rules. These ‘rules’ of the conscious and subconscious mind are insidious and pervasive. You may liken them to the programming that goes into a computer. Unless a new piece of software is installed, the computer (brain) will continue executing the old software, even if it has become infected with ‘viruses’, which are the thoughts, beliefs, and emotions that a mind in conflict generates. The difference between you and the computer is that the computer doesn’t have sentient consciousness and an ego that will label thoughts and experiences as ‘good’ or ‘bad’, or believe in its own stories and limitations. However, your mind does those things, and although the computer isn’t self-conscious, it does emulate your mind. It is not just a matter of uninstalling old software and installing new that will do it however.

We caution you here about something that is essential. Be careful that you don’t fall into the substitution game, and think that if you delete all the ‘negative limiting beliefs’ and replace them with ‘positive expansive beliefs’, that the game is then over and you’re free. What is required is an absence of programming OF ANY KIND! You aren’t a computer, are you? Your brain is the computer your mind uses, and you are NOT your mind either! You are Spirit, period. You are the ‘I Am’, the One, the Eternal, and the source of infinite possibilities. And, you are innocent too boot! When you focus on just reprogramming the computer (mind-brain ego consciousness) you will habitually cleave to positive/negative scenarios and desires. Nothing wrong with choosing loving, creative and life-affirming thoughts, goals and actions, unless they are imbued with a sense of having the power , instead of perceiving that it is the Power behind them that gives them life. That Power is your Consciousness. When you are unawares of the secrets of your inner rules that run you from the unconscious, then you get experiences that seem contrary to your choice. Don’t get upset here, just relax into beginners mind.

Your challenge then is what remains unconscious within you. This is the producer of your experience, until you have uncovered all of your secrets and transmuted them back into the Big You. There is no greater ‘secret’ to discover than you’re real Self. So, what does all of this have to do with rules? It is your unconscious mind which has adopted the rules, which are either appropriated or learned from other people, institutions, cultures and societies, or other influences. Some of these other influences are hidden in your DNA coding, such as extraterrestrial and other-dimensional lifetimes, genetic manipulation, and anomalies caused by planetary or system-level events. As you experience your ‘journey’ back toward wholeness, you will encounter each ‘orphaned’ part of yourself that has fallen into crystallized patterns based on rules of survival. As each piece of ‘you’ is reclaimed and transformed, you become who you always were…Infinite Consciousness.

There are two kinds of rules- ego rules and spiritual rules. Ego rules govern temporal survival issues. Spiritual rules govern cosmic survival issues. There are three prime rules which operate in each level. These are:

1) There is not enough love.

2) There is not enough abundance.

3) I am not good enough.

These rules are founded within the original guilt- fear of separation from Source, and a belief that you can be annihilated or cease to be. Every rule, no matter how sensible it may appear to be, is based on some fear reaction. Rules are not immutable. Laws are not immutable. You and Spirit are the only ‘things’ that are immutable. Laws and rules exist only in manifested forms, never in the Unmanifest. What would the Unmanifest need with rules and laws? The question answers itself.

Where all these rules came from (and the external laws that reinforce them) need not be the subject of your inquiry. What really matters is whether the rules you aren’t aware of are causing suffering in your experiences. If they are, would you not want to remove the underlying cause of the discomfort? So, experiment here with us. Think back over the last day or so, and see where you made a judgment about someone or something, or felt a strong negative reaction to someone or something that made you squirm or wriggle. You don’t have to go back to events of twenty years ago for material, because if you haven’t healed those events, they are still alive and appearing in your current reality. What happened in that moment of reaction? How did it make you feel? Was the thought or reaction justified? Remember, from ego’s point of view, it is always justified. Now, was your belief that formed the basis of the reaction really yours, and even if it was, does it make sense? Did it create peace, or irritation? Well, if you didn’t feel peaceful, then a ‘rule’ got activated and projected onto the person/situation. This kind of scenario is a perfect opportunity to become more conscious. It is also a perfect time to forgive your little self deeply. Remember, don’t make your self/Self ‘wrong’ and the evil one, just notice what doesn’t work anymore and accept that a change is in order.

Another way the rules work is to keep you in line. How many times have you felt a strong feeling to be or act in a way that you feel would be a natural expression for you, and then you didn’t because you were afraid others would not approve? If you are honest, you have had many times when you’ve felt this conflict within. If there is conflict, it is two sides of the ego having a tussle over a rule. One ego side argues to really go for it, while the other urges caution and is fearful. You, in the middle, are no longer peaceful. You’ve become trapped in a game of possible outcomes, and it begins to be something you obsess about. Ooops!! Caution ahead, rules are being enforced! What breaks the impasse is asking what the rule is about…in that moment. If it a fear of disapproval, or a fear of success, then acceptance of what it is so is necessary before it can be changed. After the tension has subsided, you can allow the appropriate action to arise out of the still-point of your heart.

We always recommend deleting rules that are spotted quickly. Once something becomes obvious to you, then you are empowered to remove another layer of the self-programming. The simple tool would be:

“I am now complete with the thought, emotion or belief of: expecting others to always know what I need. I hereby release it, complete it, and delete it.” When you take responsibility for your thoughts in this way, then you will stop projecting toxic thoughts and expectations out into duality where they can manifest. What you don’t know usually will manifest, and this is how every entity comes to know the difference between the artificial self and the Being Self. There is only one kind of mastery, and that is the mastery over the ego-created mind identity. As long as you’re mind-oriented, you are positioned within duality. When you are finally your Self again, the mind becomes the servant, instead of the tyrant.

Breaking the rules is not to be seen as act of irresponsibility, but an act of complete responsibility. On the larger stage of activity of your Planetary adventure, there are many conformists and very few self-actualized Beings. Those that refuse to remain unconscious and controlled will always seem to be on the ‘outs’ with external authorities and the collective insanity of unconsciousness. The insanity of corporate and governmental control via an obsession with rules is appearing in many societies and cultures as a last ditch attempt to subvert the incursion of Spirit into the World System. They are blinded by the fear-ridden ego, which always resists and seeks to maintain the rules and laws as a guarantee of order and security. This mentality always fails, as it is subject to the dualism which gave it birth. Only Oneness is Real. Everything else, and we mean everything else, is separation.

Once you know that there is no thing that can truly annihilate You, and that there is no question of your survivability, then you begin to actually live. Spirit is always seeking to express Itself through those who are available to be a channel of truth, joy and love. To be such a channel, to be enfolded in the Presence that is beyond description, requires that you shed your skins, break the rules, deprogram yourself, and to be who you are.

Start now by making a list of your rules. Begin where you are. This is the moment. There is no more perfect time than this time.

Happy System Busting!! We are complete.

News of One

Been a while but here's my friend Isaac's latest Newsletter. So wonderful to hear so close to his path as usual of the One-ness energy. As my beloved mentor Rev. Janice "Hope" Gorman said in my last message---the Secret served only individuality energy and within that word low and behold we see DUALITY. Unfortunately after viewing this documentary that had so much potential, my husband and I left feeling disappointed and more bothered by the lack of attention on Service or even DIVINE Will than getting caught up in the Law of Attraction for "a new 300,000 home or 100,000 year salary" So more of a disservice really or as Isaac said-- focusing on the false reality only- which is old energy as we work toward the New Jerusalem.

I rarely read or watch the news now since it's all bread and circuses. Distractions that collectively work to claw us all onto the fear energy and the collective belief that we are seperate. Illusions and Duality everywhere you turn. Good vs. Evil. Poor vs. Rich. Terrorism vs Democracy Democrat vs Republican etc etc.

Of course real and true empowerment comes from recognizing the One energy and in Service to the Almighty and in Gratitude to the Creator! And so it is that the Service comes creatively through..... whoda thunk it-- YOUTUBE! And is the work he and have done with "Blessings" video we hope...and we're now working on our latest video (another global warming one) in collaboration again with original music from him. Technology aint it grand? He emails me the pieces and I plop them in and we do a bi coastal production whallaaa. You can find the link to Isaac and Rev. Janice's websites always here at the G.E. on right hand side of page.

Seeing the Warming video climb to 40,000 views has been an unexpected kick around the house for all of us and adding daily subscribers to the "channel" as well as the feedback which has been some of the most rewarding of all that I have done. Granted it's a non profit or zero dollar venture but thats not purpose behind it anyway which makes all the more enjoyable and so rewarding. I just received the most beautiful cloth art work from Malaysia as a thank you for sending out the CD that way for a presentation and have children emailing me for the CDs to show their teachers. Eventually once I'm done focusing finally and selfishly on my body (practically at the exclusion of all else aside from booking voice work in the morning at 1 1/2 - 2hours 6 days a week) will be working to get a podcast and more audio up with Spiritual interviews that resonate here at the G.E.

Remember you are not seperate and remember to remain in Gratitude and Service. And everything will just fall into a blissful place of just Being in Joy. I plan to write more now as I strive to in my little way be in service to the Almighty Creator maker of all things seen and unseen as we all return Home to that most blissful energy of ONE and share in the collective involution and evolution of these amazing times! -Jill

Affluenza

IM BAAAACCCKKK Wow so much going on sorry I haven't posted but I intend to reconnect. Busy working out 1-2 hours daily at the exclusion of all else aside from my voice work which is busy as well- and raising my children and shuffling them around to dance and plays and Destination Imagination and basketball and...well you get the drift. I dug up this gem and may have posted it some time ago but felt it was worth another look- it's from 2000 and the statistics are even more of a chasm now. It is about the now named condition of "Affluenza"--- with more and more studies coming out now from college kids who don't know how to handle lifes normal "problems" or bumps in the road due to the proverbial silver spoons in their mouth, to the married couple who needs a Shalom Home counselor to help show them how to "be a family" with their kids. The Native Americans saw this affliction very early on in the Europeans early materialism. Imagine what they must think now. Simplicity a thing of the past to such a point that many that are lacking joy are now CHOOSING it consciously. What a concept. Yet the chasm of have and have not's grows. 400,000 dead in Darfur. 2.2 million displaced while the world looks the other way. Jangaweed fueled by Saudi Arabia money to rid Africa of colored and the poor. We said never again about Holocaust and yet again it unfolds before our eyes. The compassionate feel helpless. The powerful not doing enough. And materialism grows- for no apparent reason as it is a pursuit of a "false" happiness. Love is where happiness comes from. Memories. Quality time with loved ones. Nature and it's beauty. A sunset. Finding the Big Dipper. You get the drift. More later- Jill

Af-flu-en-za n. 1. The bloated, sluggish and unfulfilled feeling that results from efforts to keep up with the Joneses. 2. An epidemic of stress, overwork, waste and indebtedness caused by dogged pursuit of the American Dream. 3. An unsustainable addiction to economic growth.

1. Which of the following is comparable to the size of a typical three-car garage?
a. a basketball court
b. a McDonald's restaurant
c. an "RV" (recreational vehicle)
d. the average home in the 1950s.
Answer: d. Many of today's three-car garages occupy 900 square feet, just about the average size of an entire home in the 1950s. Many people use the extra garage space to store things they own and seldom use. Often we hear that Americans have lost ground economically and have less purchasing power. But Americans are buying more luxurious items, partly by working more and going deeply into debt. The homes they live in and the cars they drive today are often bigger and more technologically advanced than those purchased by their parents.

a. 1957
b. 1967
c. 1977
d. 1987
Answer: a. The number of "very happy" people peaked in 1957, and has remained fairly stable or declined ever since. Even though we consume twice as much as we did in the 1950s, people were just as happy when they had less.
3. How much of an average American's lifetime will be spent (on average) watching television commercials?

(I remember being shocked by this. We do that amount DAILY! And we schedule "Family time" which kids' friends are fascinated
by)
4. True or false? Americans carry $1 billion in personal debt, not including real estate and mortgages.
Answer: False. Americans carry $1 trillion in personal debt, approximately $4,000 for every man, woman and child, not including real estate and mortgages. On average, Americans save only 4 percent of their income, in contrast to the Japanese, who save an average of 16 percent.

a. wrap around the Earth six times
b. reach half-way to the moon
c. connect the North and South Poles
d. build a bridge between North America and China
Answer: a. and b. Even though Americans comprise only five percent of the world's population, in 1996 we used nearly a third of its resources and produced almost half of its hazardous waste. The average North American consumes five times as much as an average Mexican, 10 times as much as an average Chinese and 30 times as much as the average person in India.

An organization called Redefining Progress developed an alternative economic progress measurement, the GPI (Genuine Progress Indicator). GPI takes into account 24 aspects of economic life that the standard GDP (Gross Domestic Product) ignores. The GPI adds value for such activities as housework and volunteerism, and subtracts for the costs of such problems as crime, car accidents and family breakdown.
